Goshen Groceries Feeding Program

Goshen Groceries Feeding Program is about preserving God’s seed on the earth.  Goshen in the Bible was a place of provision, protection, and preservation for the seed of Abraham.  They received food in the midst of famine in Goshen.  When the plagues were sent to Egypt they were protected in Goshen. “When we are Christ’s we are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:29” God has not changed his mind about preserving his seed on the earth. Goshen Groceries Feeding Program has a mission that is all about doing just that.
Our mission is threefold.  First, we feed a hot lunch meal Tuesday through Friday to the ministry school students.  In addition to this there are many that are living on the Morning Star Campus going through hard times, and they may receive a free meal as well.
Secondly, for quite some time now we have been quietly handing out groceries to families in need in this congregation. There are many others sitting close beside us in church which have lost jobs, had pay cuts, are dealing with illness, and some that have just made bad financial decisions. They are in need of something we take for granted “food.” It is our desire to mobilize an effort to take care of hunger on this grassroots level.  In order to do this we will need partners and food donations to take care of this substantial need.       Some of the greatest needs are in the lives of people that will never qualify for food stamps. Most of us are very moved to give for hunger across the world and that is wonderful, but what about home?  It is our vision to take care of home first, then the world.  Having said this, we are not going to forget the world.
The third part of our mission is to distribute food and supplies globally by partnering with missions around the world.  Jesus said, “I was hungry and you fed me.”  Will you feed the hungry with us?     Thanks Eddie & Linda Armstrong

How can I help?

  1. We need food donations:  canned foods, dried goods, meat, supplies.  They will be stored in the back room of Goshen.
  2. We need intercessors.  This is ministry. These people are hurting. We want to love them and see the Lord bring the deliverance.  In addition to that we need to be covered. Note: We will need some freezers. We have a side by side in the back that we use for this but the time is coming when some freezers will be needed. Please pray for all the necessary equipment to store food properly.
  3. We need financial partners! It cost approximately $60.00 per day to feed up to 40 people. We are not independently wealthy. The Lord said, “We can not do this on our own.” We need your partnership! Together we can make a difference! Financial donations are tax deductible.  We are coming up under the covering of the Morning Star’s mission department CMM. The mailing address is PO Box 7705 Charlotte, NC 28241.  Make check payable to CMM and Goshen Groceries Feeding Program on Memo Line.
