The Generational Mandate, To Fulfill The Great Commission (5-10-13)

Jorge Parrott, Message Outline Notes

When I got into Missions almost 15 years ago I prayed for the Lord to introduce me to remarkable men and women who were changing the world and expanding the Kingdom of God. I am blessed to know 100’s of missionaries in over 50 nations. I have seen countless miracles, many saved, healed, and delivered, as the Lord got my attention and I stepped forward in faith. I left a successful business to follow the Lord’s call on my life. It is exciting to see many step out in faith and see their destinies unfold. Some of the highlights of the last year:

Through our network of native embedded, trusted missionaries:

We helped get 11 year old Rimsha out of jail in Pakistan, who was falsely accused of blasphemy, through our native local pastors right in her neighborhood, along with Pastor Youseff in Iran through native couriers and undercover agents of God these and many others were set free from jail and relocated to safe areas.

We helped send in 12,000 Bibles into Iran and heard from independent sources that within the next 30 days there were over 50,000 salvations.

Friends in China took into a Muslem nation in March 26,000 Bibles on MP 3 players in their native tongue.

We have shipped $47 million dollars of humanitarian aid to 5 Latin American and Caribbean nations since October 2012.

We built churches, orphanages and schools in many nations to give children a bright future. A dollar a day can change a life. We have many thousands coming to the Lord every year.

We have shipped tons and tons of books and MS resources to many of our missionaries.

We have had Skype calls here with Prophetic Teams for many of our missionaries and gotten amazing feedback of how these Prophetic words have helped their ministry and lives.

We have sent MSU and church teams into many nations to teach and train and impart the prophetic so that more can learn to hear the voice of the Lord.

We are in process of distributing about 60 million dollars given to us of humanitarian aid in the form of medicines and high protein nutrition.

Our teams have released faith and the supernatural both domestically and internationally.

Two years ago in an Asian nation we had a pastors conference and I prayed to God for the enemy to return what had been stolen and the land and livestock was given back the next day.

We believe we are entering a time of open heavens and much answered prayers as we give it all away what God has given us for his glory. Where sin abounds, grace abounds even more. Step into the fullness of joy you were made for today. This is an incubator for the preparation of seeds of destiny. Prophetic completion is a step by step realization by faith, with great risks involved but it is worth it all. When you fail just get back up. John Wimber prayed for a 1,000 before he healed the first one. Don’t stop risking it all for the glory of our Creator.

How many of you have been on Missions Trips?

What is the generational mandate to fulfill the Great Commission? Where do we find it in scriptures? Let’s lay the groundwork first.

Early on in my travels I was amazed at how blessed we are in this country and I took so much for granted. I was amazed at how people living in dire poverty had such joy in the Lord as their strength for real.

I was stunned each time when I returned to America and at the airports get the feeling everyone in the airport was having a bad day.

I soon realized that Americans are much like the Laodicean church with our lukewarm hearts. We have allowed the Dulling of the Spiritual Sensitivities While Living in Affluence

Rick gave a message about 5-6 years ago where he said that almost 95% of missions is ineffectual. I went up to RJ after that service and asked him to pray for me to be in the 5% that is effective in bringing transformation in helping fulfill the Great Commission.

MorningStar is strategically poised to impact many key leaders or force multipliers in key nations.

Some of the greatest faith and miracles I have seen have been in some of the poorest nations and even those under great oppression like Cuba and China and India. Why is that?

Living in America in affluence can dull our sensitivities to the ways of the Lord. Sometimes we need to get out of our comfort zones to experience the faith realm of God. Our material distractions can limit what the Lord wants to do in our lives. Sometimes we have to break out of the comfort zone, allow God to break us. We need to get out of town to see what he is doing in places where they don’t have a choice but to trust God.

We often share with our teams: You will work, you will get dirty, you may even get broken. Phil 3:10 “That we may know the sufferings of Christ, in order to know the power of the resurrection.”

Read twice:

“If a commission by an earthly king is considered an honor, how can a commission by a Heavenly King be considered a sacrifice?” — David Livingstone

Have you been commissioned by the Lord for a life surrendered? Today is your day for going to the next level.

God is shaking the nations of the earth. Rick has said that many of the crises we face in the world are beyond human remedy. My prayer is that we repent as a nation without having to suffer war, economic collapse, or more. But often, it takes a great shaking for us to wake up. We must pray for our nation at this critical point in history.

Some may ask, “How can we be concerned with missions at a time of crisis in our own nation?” When Jesus said “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel.” It was not a suggestion but a commandment. “To know the will of God, we need an open Bible and an open map.” — William Carey, pioneer missionary to India.

“I have but one passion: It is He, it is He alone. The world is the field and the field is the world; and henceforth that country shall be my home where I can be most used in winning souls for Christ.”— Count Nicolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf

We are nearing completion of our MorningStar Missions Base in Moravian Falls on land once owned by the Moravians. There is a great heritage and legacy we are fulfilling even in this day. We invite you to get involved; by praying, giving, and going. This summer we need volunteers to help with decking and sheetrock. Housing and meals are provided if you can just get there.

Sidney Correll, founder of CMM said often, “The World is our Parish.”

I believe very strongly that revival in America and Canada must happen or our nations will perish. It could happen in one or more of these ways:

1. Through mass repentance, as in 2 Chron 7:14.

2. As a result of a prolonged war, economic crash, plague like bird flu, civil war or break up of the union.

3. As a result of radical prophetic evangelism and education reforms in many schools and communities.

4. As a result of people in the West engaging firsthand in radical missions. If we go and witness revival fires and anointing abroad and we bring that spirit of revival and a lifestyle of repentance back home we will see revival spread here in the West.

We have helped thousands go on mission trips and 100% have come back changed forever.

God is trying to get our attention with 9/11 and the upheaval in our economy and threat to our constitution. Even now he has great mercy and grace on us but there may come a time when even very simple tasks become harder and harder to do. Many say we are entering that time now where what used to be very simple tasks are becoming more and more difficult. We may see a time very soon where travel as we know it is not possible. We need to go with urgency while we can.

There is something for everyone here to get involved in. It may be intercession, education, helping youth, orphans and widows, drilling wells, planting churches and schools, engineering studies, grant writing, prophetic skype calls, learning to minister to Muslims, etc.

Be creative, dream big, and have fun as you surrender all. If you are a new creation in Christ Jesus what does it matter what the Lord and Master asks you to do. It’s hard to steer a parked car. As bondservants of Jesus Christ we need to awaken each day asking the Lord what is his will for us that day. He gives us all the time we need to accomplish all he desires us to do.

The devil loves to see us busy and distracted and divided. We have to take authority over that which is not of the Lord for our lives.

But, there is great hope for as darkness covers the earth and deep darkness covers the sea, the glory on us will shine brighter and brighter. We were made for this time. We were made for war. Let’s run to the battles for the souls of men. We must contend and overcome a great many battles in the days ahead. The Lord is strengthening us through these trials and through the pain.

My prayer often is “Lord help us believe the way you made us to believe. Help us see the way you see. Help me see others the way you see others. Lord, help me see myself the way you see me.”

How many of you have dreams of insignificant lives? No, you want to make a difference.

I want to share some stories of people in our age group who stepped out in faith and joined us on a faith adventure and had their lives changed forever while impacting other lives for all eternity.

First Time in India

India with my friend John. Near Nepal, people praying for revival there for almost 100 years. Heavy warfare, demonic activity, not really prepared but we made our hearts available.

Joshua 1:8 Be strong and of good courage. Through warfare saw amazing miracles of healings, deliverances and simple prayers. Great hunger welcomes the presence of God. We have since learned more on hearing the Lord, sharpened discernment and the importance of intercessors covering you before and during and after.

John had been a Presbyterian pastor for many years and then got filled with the Holy Spirit. Now, almost 80 years old he first went to India with me in 1998. It was our first trip for both of us and one other friend. Deep dark northern India. There was a mosque outside the wall and a strong spirit of control, perhaps even Jezebel inside the walls and some of our missionaries. One morning the guys woke me up of intense warfare and I told them they can go if they want but God brought us around the world to speak hope and life and pray and love them. Miracles broke out.

John found his life’s work and has been back many times and has raised almost a million dollars to improve their School and hospital. They treat between 3 and 5,000 each month. He said this is what he looked for all his life. Praise God. I pray for a 100 like John to catch the vision and take ownership, impacting so many people. We have many teachers but not many Fathers.

Geri Keller “It takes 60 years to make a man”. Are we ready?

Joshua 1:8 Be strong and of good courage.

This is no time for chickens in the eagle’s nest.

“The spirit of Christ is the spirit of missions. The nearer we get to Him, the more intensely missionary we become.”Henry Martyn, missionary to India and Persia

“He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose” — Jim Elliot who along with Nate Saint and three others were martyred.

Two of Nate Saints’ nieces serve with us in Guatemala and Argentina.

Tom H from FL who helped us tremendously in Haiti after the earthquake 3 years ago. Tom and other MS friends and MFM members went to DR and into Haiti through our network of missionaries and there was over 200 thousand maybe 300 thousand dead and thousands seeking aid. Tom with his military back ground and initiative went to the Embassies, to USAID to other NGO’s and was instrumental in raising millions of dollars of medicines and equipment.

After the Haiti earthquake we were working with a multitude of volunteers here including MSU students and MFM members the troops rallied and made phone calls daily for donations of goods and cash. We got Water filtration systems to fight the cholera and generators.

One ministry in N India has over 6,000 churches and one in the south has over 7,000 churches and an email last week said their goal for 2025 is 25,000 churches in S. India. We need teachers and disciplers.

We have taken pastoral teaching teams, medical teams, youth groups, worship teams, prophetic teams, disaster relief teams, midwife teams, Kingdom business teams, rehabbed drug and alcohol teams, all types of teams and different gift-sets.

We need teachers, musicians, prophetic teachers, theology teachers, youth ministry trainers, medically trained teams, mechanics, IT specialists, engineers of all types, scientists, agricultural and farm specialists. What ever you have done, God can use your gifts to build his Kingdom. “God works all things together for the good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose”. Romans 8:28

A new endeavor for us is working in Stopping Human Trafficking. We have free curriculum which is wholesome for young children and in many languages and pictorial format to educate children what to watch out for to avoid being a victim of the sex trade. We need facilitators across the land and to the nations to go into public and private schools, civic organizations, and share this material, which is free.

You may think you are used up, dried up, too old, too poor whatever. Henry Ford said “Whether you think you can or can not, you are correct.”

I remember traveling to the Philippines with Helen Correll when she was 92 years old. We have a campground and retreat center on the S. China Sea and we rode in a Jeep along the beach and she was laughing like a teenager bouncing and jiggling all over. She spoke in churches for an hour or more per night with just her Bible and the message was different every night. People in their 60’s and 70’s came forward and thanked Mom for calling them into ministry when they were young children or teenagers. She was amazing, she remembered most of their names!

This is no time for fear. 2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

We want to break off any spirit of fear, fear of man, rejection, shame, unworthiness today.

What happens to the fearful?

Revelation 21:8

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”Many say “what now?” You came to hear from the Lord.

Many are at crossroads. Many are in valley of decision.

This is a launching pad conference. In the spirit I heard many at this conference saying “Here I am Lord, send me”.

Missionary Dan got a word from Rick at Francis Frangipane’s church in 1989. Dropped his political consultant job and went to Russia to plant a church every weekend for next 10 years. He called today from Istanbul Turkey on his way to the Syrian border to pray to Refugees.

Persecuted church-many being called into Muslim nations to love on them and bring in the Great Harvest. Hudson Taylor

“Without risk there is no room for faith to work.“

Hebrews 11:6 “without faith it is impossible to please God.”

What is the generational mandate to fulfill the Great Commission?

Hebrews 11:37-40

New King James Version (NKJV)

37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted,[a] were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented— 38 of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth.

39 And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, 40 God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.

“Any church that is not seriously involved in helping fulfill the Great Commission has forfeited its biblical right to exist.” — Oswald J. Smith

“The mission of the church is missions” — Oswald J. Smith
