What is not being shaken right now? The reality of the daily media reports would seem unbelievable even just a few years ago. Many are being stirred by the Holy Spirit to fresh boldness and courage, which is sorely lacking in churches, governments, and organizations in every nation. Many are telling us of a fresh conviction of the holy fear of the Lord as never before. Are we sensitive to the Holy Spirit to discern the times? Have we learned how to love and possess the commitment to obey our Captain at all costs?  Read more “Shaken or stirred?”

The remnant of true disciples of Jesus is thriving in many nations. Italy is a nation that has a long history and importance, even in The Bible and the life of the Apostle Paul. The Lord revealed to us at the recent Prophetic Round Table held in late June to speak to them about their identity as a nation, as God’s people, and as end-time warriors in the Spirit. There is a surprising move occurring in the Spirit-filled churches there.

The influence of the Catholic church is often all we hear about from Italy. Be encouraged there is much unity and passion in the evangelical and protestant churches in Italy to persevere in turbulent times. Recently, over 500,000, including many Catholics, gathered in Rome to protest gay marriage and gender identity tolerance. The identity of young people there is being challenged with societal and secular humanist and gay agenda ilk threatening their God ordained gender identity and the sanctity of marriage. In an open vision during prayer, I saw the earth in the right eye of the Lord. Imagine what He sees and knows. Imagine His heart and passion for us all. He knows the hairs on our heads and yet keeps us from being destroyed by gamma bursts and crashing massive meteors. The Holy Spirit comes when we trust and allow Him to help and guide us through these turbulent times. If we love the Lord and obey Him, He always breaks through. I just returned from Singapore, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia. I could feel the power and love in the prayer-covering from back home. The Lord showed up every day. I strongly felt this trip was a pilgrimage for me personally to encounter more of the Lord and His strategies for our missions work globally. He does not disappoint. Read more “Open Heavens in Asia”

Bobby Connor said recently as he held the palm of his hand right up to his nose, “The veil between us and the kingdom of heaven is as close as a sheet of Saran wrap.” All the pieces are coming together. The battle of the ages intensifies as daily we see the enemy of our souls fighting hard, even in horrific ways.

Our hope in Jesus Christ pulls us like a magnet upward into that high calling. We must build ourselves up in the most holy faith as if we have no choice. Although we have a choice, we need to act as if we have no choice. By faith we are exhorted to block out the choice we have to fear, because then we will fail. We have many depending on us both here on earth and in heaven. Any setbacks are just a set up for the comeback we have in Jesus. Read more “The Reality of the Promise”

Refugees from Iraq

These days there many are fleeing to the shelter of the Lord. Yet there are many more who are searching for this place of refuge but do not know where to find it. “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust’” (Psalm 91:1-2).

Recent reports from close, trusted friends reaching out to the many refugees in Iraq and the surrounding region all speak of the horrendous butchering, torture, amputations, rapes, and beheading of many innocent people. These brave friends tell me of these horrors beyond description as we provide humanitarian aid, love, and comfort in this current battle against ISIL terrorists. Though there is much sorrow, many souls are coming to Jesus.

What an amazing time we are in. In these days the Lord is showing us a greater depth of prophecy and an increase in the supernatural around the world. We are in dire straits yet trusting God, aware of how much we depend on the Lord to be with us and lead us by His Holy Spirit.

When we visit our friends working in fifty-eight nations, we are called to walk them into greater intimacy with God and experience the wonders of the Lord in His beauty of holiness. While they often teach us about faith and courage in dire surroundings, we are sent to share real koinonia and encourage them to go higher together. Power evangelism happens when we release the supernatural demonstrations of power of the Lord through our love, sharing the Father’s heart, words, healings, and deliverances.

What we think about and do in our daily lives impacts our eternity. We walk in two worlds simultaneously: the here and now on this earth and the eternal reality of which we see only glimpses. We know the unseen eternal realm is more real than this world. Last year, Rick Joyner shared a dream he had in which he met Enoch and Elijah. Enoch was the happiest man he had ever met (Enoch walked with God for 300 years). Then Rick met Elijah and asked him why Enoch was so happy. Elijah answered, “The way we live each day determines our eternity.” Read more “Seeing Jesus Now in the 21st Century”

A small team from MorningStar/CM Missions had planned for several months to travel to the Philippines for the anniversary celebration of CMMP(Correll Missionary Ministries Philippines) and CMBI (Correll Memorial Bible Institute.) My wife, Anna Marie, and the Dean of our Theology School, Dr. Nancy Daniel accompanied me on this trip. Little did we know the super Typhoon Haiyan would hit the same day. We had all been previously and dearly love what the Lord is doing in this ministry. I first went to the Philippines in 1998.

pastorFlorieOur great friends in Laoag City, Illocos Norte, with CMMP do an amazing ministry in planting churches where there are no churches. Cohesive leaders and gifted teachers train up strong pastors and leaders in CMBI, a three year Bible School. Florie Santiago, the director, is an anointed apostolic leader. Jimmy and Buena Balmes are some of the awesome senior leaders helping oversee some of the newer churches. A tested leadership team walking out Biblical integrity and led by the Holy Spirit are proven ways to assure lasting fruit that remains.

The beauty of God’s faithfulness and unending love permeates his living word and vibrates through the ages.  Look at Mark 16:15-18: And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

As we prepare for The 50+ Joshua Generation Conference I am reminded of the faithfulness of saints who went before us to pave the way.  From our own parents, grandparents, friends, teachers, missionary pioneers, evangelists, and many more who prayed for us, for our generation, and most of all, Jesus Christ himself who paid the price for our salvation and our lives. Truly, we live by the grace of the living God. Every breath is a precious gift.

MorningStar, CMM and our faithful Partners have a rich legacy handed to us. It is inspiring and encouraging for us to carry on in the holy steps of our Christian walk. Rick Joyner has sought the Lord for forty years and had amazing encounters leading to a prolific authoring of many anointed books which touching many nations.  The anointing upon Rick’s life has attracted some of the most gifted teachers, preachers, prophets, and artists of our time to sow and impart much into CMM and MorningStar Conferences, MSU, and all aspects of the ministry.

With over 500 Missionary Leaders in 50 nations there is a myriad of opportunities for our dear Partners to experience the faith realm where the Lord waits for hearts made available for the Lord to work his miraculous ways to conform us into his image.

The dedicated work of all our staff over the years has welcomed thousands and thousands from the nations of the earth as we all seek the Lord in deeper ways, growing in intimacy and seeing a steady increase in the supernatural and empowering work of the Holy Spirit to bring great freedom and the release of destinies in thousands of friends of MorningStar.  Many agree that our best days are ahead as we are strengthened by the Lord in the five-fold ministry for the battles ahead.  We need the Holy Spirit more and more in the days ahead.

Many are not aware of the history of many great saints who were part of CMM or are now. Sidney and Helen Correll were raised up, trained, graduated by and married by Aimee Semple McPherson in the early 1920’s.  I spoke to Aimee’s son, Rolph, about ten years ago. Some of the Correll family have shared how Aimee wanted Sidney Correll to take over her ministry in the 1940’s and Sidney declined, saying he was called into missions.

Sidney and Helen traveled to about 100 nations raising up native pastors, planting churches, and discipling many worldwide. They knew many of the great revivalists that are famous for mass crusades, healing ministries, and evangelism. Alfred Garr Sr. who Steve Thompson wrote the book about called, “The 20th Century Apostle”, was mentored by Sidney Correll and on the board of CMM from its beginning until he went home to glory. Around 2004 the nieces of Nate Saint, who was martyred in Ecuador in the 1950’s, brought their ministry under the umbrella of CMM.  They minister in Guatemala and Argentina. The grandson of Derek Prince, Peter Wyns, came under CMM when he moved from Canada about that time as well. The stories go on and on and now the mantle of these great missionaries and teachers falls to us to help reach future generations with the love of the heart of the Father through Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit to help fulfill The Great Commission.

Now the ‘ball is in our court.’ How are we to carry on and fulfill the vision and heartbeat of the Lord to reach the lost, disciple the saints, and bring unity and maturity to the coming ‘spotless bride’ to see the Lord Jesus come again triumphantly? Will we part of Jesus’ last unanswered prayer that he prayed in John 17?

Let’s look in Hebrews 11:37-40 to burn brighter with passion for the heart of God to ignite us who are in the 50+ Joshua Generation as we prepare for the upcoming season.  We read in Hebrews 11 about the ‘heroes of the faith’.  Each one mentioned is noted for doing something no one had ever done before.

They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented— of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth. And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us”.

Lord, help us grasp this generational mandate that rings through the ages.  Will Jesus find faith on the earth when he returns?  May we encourage each other in the days ahead to challenge, to pray for, to stand with in times of trial and persecution to be faithful and bold in our faith as we walk in the fullness of the joy of the Lord. We can speak to and prophesy to each other that our best days are ahead of us.
