The escalation of violence, persecution, and savagery towards Christians, American personnel, and embassies comes as no surprise following the Arab Spring of 2011. Recently, four Christians were crucified in Egypt with almost no media coverage.  In May of this year, the U.S. State Deptartment stopped including persecution of Christians as a violation of human rights.  The Lord is seeking to gain our attention.  The church is a sleeping giant.

Though cries for democracy in the spring of 2011 were heard around the world, it was soon discovered that American-friendly or neutral dictators in many nations were being replaced by generally pro-Sharia law Muslim Brotherhood factions at a rapid pace, often with the support of the U.S. Administration.  For thousands of years, many of these tribal factions have been at war with each other and with the outside world. These people groups are often best led by heavy-handed dictators.

Not enough Americans understand the extent to which our constitutional rights are endangered by the expansion of pro-Sharia forces gaining ground on many fronts around the world.  The weak leadership of our own White House has paved the way for these uprisings and cries for democracy to usher in pro-Sharia law and Muslim Brotherhood regimes intent on destroying Israel and America.

An alleged shocking report last week detailing how our Secretary of State changed the policy stating that Embassy guards cannot even carry bullets may well have led to the assassination of our U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.  Libya is not Mayberry RFD. The Middle East of the 21st century requires strong, decisive leadership and firepower to maintain order and the respect of these tribal factions.

The Great Commission Will Be Fulfilled Because It Is God’s Will

While Americans are facing increasing danger in more and more nations, we must be able to adjust and adapt our strategy for equipping native pastors and missionaries. There exists an increasingly urgent need to train, equip, and strengthen force multipliers of the 7 Mountain  Mandate overseas.

God’s Strategy Is Gaining Clarity

We have requests from persecuted Africans and Chinese for missions and prophetic training to go into many nations, many of them dangerous Muslim strongholds, to love the precious souls who do not know Jesus. Adherents to the vision of the “road back to Jerusalem movement” in China are waiting for teachers to help them grow stronger in the Word of God, faith, the Holy Spirit, and the prophetic to go to many places where white Westerners cannot go.

Our friends in India are doubling the number of their churches and waiting on teachers from MorningStar to equip and impart the kingdom worldview. Friends in Hispanic nations are another huge people group awaiting training and equipping to go into these hard places to love the lost into the kingdom of God. Souls are precious and time is short.  We are seeing history in the making before our very eyes.    “The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted” (Psalm 46:6).

May our hearts first be melted with the love of Jesus that compels us to lay down our own lives to win precious souls into the eternal heavenly realm.

Trusted News Service Reporters Needed

We are seeing more and more a lack of reliable news reporting in the global news media.  We have been increasingly aware of the value of trusted friends on the ground in strategic regions of the globe. The emerging Christian news service Rick Joyner has envisioned years ago needs astute, competent journalists and fact checkers as never before.

Trusted Native Embedded Missionaries

Our network of over 500 missionary leaders really consists of almost 15,000 servant hearted pastors and leaders in over 45 nations.  As we have seen, advancing strides have been made within our network of friends as we have developed our rapid response teams in stealth mode. Our generous partners and intercessors working as a team with our missionaries have all played a part in the release of Pastor Youcef  and Rimsha Masih in Pakistan. Increasing persecution forces us to trust the Lord for wisdom and safe approaches to continue the good fight of faith. We must go to higher levels in prayer, intimacy, intercession, and prophetic insight. Rick Joyner was shown two doors open to us this summer. Are we ready to walk through those two doors to go higher in favor, grace, and the prophetic?

Increasing Hunger For The Lord

In light of these recent developments, we can see the heightened urgenc  for the need to equip and strengthen the global body of Christ while we still can communicate and travel to some of these dangerous regions of the world. The time may come soon where we may regret we did not do more while we could to take in resources, all types of ministry teams, teachers, and the training in the prophetic, as well as humanitarian and educational aid. We must always advance with urgency while we have “today.”

The Risk To Communications In the Days Ahead

As the risk of an EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) over the U.S. or any strategic region increases, we could face being cut off from all communications except perhaps ham radio. I do not wish to cause alarm or operate in fear, but to plan strategically and wisely for the intensifying warfare as heaven invades earth and we see the Lord victorious. We must prepare for the unexpected and remember we stand in a kingdom that cannot be shaken.

New technologies will be developed, but we need to be prepared in the event of disasters, short or long term, to protect and feed our families, have adequate and safe water supplies, and to pro-actively continue to raise up strong leaders ready to persevere in great trials and tribulation until the day Jesus returns to reign in victory. Will our prophetic gifting increase to the point which non-verbal global communications become a reality? We have the mind of Christ and the blood of Jesus is more than enough for us to fulfill Jesus’ words “that even the least of these shall be greater than John the Baptist” (see Matthew 11:11).  Jesus returned to heaven so He could send the Holy Spirit to help us in all our ways.  We serve the God of the impossible. We must endeavor to not limit what God wants to do now.

Our preparation must include the “generational teamwork’” charge given us which was spoken of in Hebrews 11:40, “God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.”  Boldness of faith, courage, and sacrifice will mark the warriors bearing great fruit.

Modern Heroes Of The Faith Do Not Need A Mirror

Our Christian lives are a gift of the greatest adventure. We are in the days the heroes of the faith dreamed of as we read in Hebrews 11. We all are called to step further into this supernatural realm and believe the way the Lord desires us to believe. The liberty that comes to those who have received the fire of the Holy Spirit baptism is unstoppable whether we are free, imprisoned, buried alive, or even crucified.

We can be witnesses of the resurrection of Jesus Christ if our hunger is great enough. The tests, trials, and opportunities are increasing.  Jesus says in John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

Jesus Is Waiting To Intercede On Our Behalf

What is your desire? May we get a revelation today of what Jesus makes available to us when He said, “We have not because we ask not.” Night and day Jesus goes to Father God. Imagine what is waiting for you when you ask according to God’s will. “ Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:24).  The Lord has given us opportunities to drink the best wine He saved for the end times. Will we take this cup?

In 1989, Rick Joyner was speaking at Francis Frangipane’s church in Iowa. A close friend of mine heard and saw Rick speak for the first time. When my friend heard Rick prophesy over his life, he immediately left his old life behind and began a journey that would take him into the Soviet Union to begin planting churches. This was before the wall came down. Twenty-three years later, this  prophetic word would also pave the way for MorningStar Missions to play a key role in the release of eleven-year old Rimsha in Pakistan and the release of Pastor Youcef a day later.

Over a ten-year period this man, I’ll call him Bill to protect his safety, planted a church every weekend, and there are still 1,500 churches in operation. He led many to the Lord, including communists in Russia and many Muslims in the Middle East, N. Africa, and Asia. Bill and MorningStar/CMM Missions also helped to train some very strategic pastors who are now covert missionaries.

One of Bill’s students, a pastor from Pakistan, was forced out of Pakistan by radical extremists and rescued from murderous thugs. He now has a death warrant against his life by the Taliban and is living in another Asian nation under the protection of the United Nations refugee program.  This man whom I’ll call Kalib knows many in his home nation who have been martyred. He is naming names of the murderers and taking a bold stance in standing for truth and righteousness.

When Kalib first heard of Rimsha Masih’s false allegations of blasphemy and her facing a death sentence, he began to gain international media attention to this atrocity. News spread quickly and the governments of many nations and Christian groups began to decry this heinous crime. This precious eleven-year old girl was held in a prison with the harshest of adult criminals. Our friends told me this “was their daughter” and they could not stand by and tolerate the cruel persecution or cower in fear.

Our covert friend, Kalib, made a call and found a “friend of a friend” in a local pastor who lived in that area near Islamabad where the intense persecution against six hundred Christian families had begun a month before. They were told to vacate their homes and businesses by September 1. Then this bogus charge was brought against Rimsha as the persecution and threats continued.

Kalib told us we needed to act fast to save this girl’s life. Through our generous partners and extensive network, we put out just a few short notes for help to come into MorningStar/CMM Missions (http://cmm.world) and helped raise the initial bail. Later it was raised and raised again. Intercessors around the world were praying for this innocent life.

Kalib knows Dr Paul Bhatti, Christian Federal Minister and Tahir Naveed, Member of Parliament, is a strong public advocate of Rimsha.

I spoke to Bill last weekend upon the release of Rimsha and he testified how it was a pure, miraculous act of God who heard the prayers of the saints and acted fast to protect and preserve this girl’s life. Below are pictures of her dramatic helicopter flight arranged by a government minister who is a Christian and oversees minority rights. The flight was deemed necessary to keep her from being killed by angry mobs. Their family is still at risk, and we have sent some additional funds to feed and relocate Rimsha’s family. There are still six 600 families at risk in this neighborhood.

By the way, the man who made the false accusations against Rimsha is now in the same prison Rimsha was held in and likely faces a life sentence for his lies.

Please pray the international attention will lead to changes in Pakistan’s blasphemy law which has seen untold numbers persecuted, tortured, and martyred. II Corinthians 10:4 assures us, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.”

Three Times Pastor Youcef’s Wife Was Told He Was Dead

Our friend Bill had served as a conduit for our intercessors to pray for the release of 24 pastors being held under death sentences in a foreign country. These pastors violated their blasphemy laws and refused to renounce Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Bill also had been instrumental in taking 9,000 Bibles into covert nations last spring through neighboring nations’ missionaries and friends. YWAM reported last spring that following these joint evangelistic efforts there were more than 50,000 salvations in a one month period.

Working with Bill and his network of trusted covert pastors and friends, MorningStar/CMM Missions and its donors helped relocate some of the families of these 24 arrested pastors to other nations and some to other parts of a covert nation, after their homes had been burned. Some of the wives had been imprisoned and raped while in custody. Just a few weeks ago, we were able to raise funds to post bail for one of the 24 pastors imprisoned who had a medical emergency. Pray for his healing and safety.

Bill had spoken with the wife of Pastor Youcef three times over the last few months and she was told three times that her husband was killed while in custody receiving his death sentence. Imagine the cruel terrorism that is torturing the families of these persecuted brothers.

Within hours of Rimsha’s release in Pakistan it was announced by the American Center for Law and Justice that Pastor Youcef was released. We thank God for the prayers of the saints around the world and those organizations working as the worldwide body of Christ who stood up for the release of these two innocent people.

Continue to pray for the persecuted church worldwide. Help MorningStar/CMM Missions continue to give aid in the form of food in times of emergency, post bail to release prisoners, deliver Bibles and Christian material, relocate families, rebuild homes, provide education for children, and healthcare in times of emergency. Go to http://cmm.world  and designate your funds for “Rapid Response” or “Covert Missions.”

A wicked and horrific new evil was released on 9/11/01 when terrorists attacked the United States. During that time we had many confirmations that the only wise fear is the fear of the Lord. Only God’s grace and mercy and the intercessions of the watchmen and watchwomen praying has our nation been protected from further terror attack and even war being waged on our soil. We can not stop interceding for our nation. We are at a perilous crossroads.

We pray we will know repentance as a nation but what a shame we have to pay such a high price in waste, injustice, corruption, greed, and future lives being impacted. Evil is not the new good and will never be a substitute for truth and righteousness. God is allowing us many opportunities to repent, individually and as a nation and yet our nation falls deeper into the abyss of losing the blood bought freedoms of the last 236 years. Lord, forgive us and help us.

A Blinding Glory Invasion

Thirty-three months after 9/11/01 I was traveling from Virginia to S. Carolina when I had an encounter of bright light so bright that I had to pull suddenly off the highway onto the break down lane. It was overwhelming and I felt strongly that what I was seeing was truly from the Lord. When I inquired of the Lord what was happening the impressions or voice of the Spirit I heard said, “My warring angels were battling through the second heaven for thirty three months in answer to the prayers of my people.”

As I sat in awe of what was before me I could see thousands of angels in battle armor, translucent, and shining so brightly that I was blown away. Their arrival on earth was very significant indeed. What must they have experienced in the intense battle in the unseen spiritual realm? What does it mean for us at this time? Immediately I thought of the angel battling for three weeks to reach Daniel in Daniel 10:12-14 (NKJV). “ Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”

Who would argue that spiritual warfare in our lives, our ministries, and our world has not intensified? We must remember we win because Jesus won the battle on the cross at Calvary. The battle belongs to the Lord. Recently while in Moravian Falls at the Missions Base I was meditating on discerning the times we are in. The Lord’s mercy and grace endures forever and I realized that some of the battles we are facing today would have caused many us to faint and fall away even ten years ago.

If we examine the increasing intensity of our times the last few years we can see how the Lord has strengthened us. He is building our hope and faith for what is coming ahead by strengthening our resolve, our focus, and our commitment. This is no time for the faint hearted. Remember in Revelations how ‘cowards’ are listed as the first to be cast into outer darkness.

God is allowing this sifting and splitting his church as he prepares his bride to be without spot or wrinkle. We were born for such a time as this. Prepare for war. Indeed, some have fallen away. However, as evil darkens the earth and our glory shines brighter and brighter and the supernatural reports increase there are many churches, denominations and believers who have slipped farther into the ways of the world with secular, humanistic, and political correctness diluting the ‘salt’ in the Body of Christ.  The spirits of appeasement, fear, entitlements and compromise have also nearly paralyzed many governments around the world and many people.

We Fight The Good Fight Of Faith

The religious spirit fights back hard. Let us examine our ‘saltiness’ and return daily to our first love, Jesus. As new creations we are renewing our minds in his word, in fellowship, in giving, and living by faith. We live by the Spirit and more than ever we need to hear the voice of our Shepherd. We are called to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

As his glorious bride we fight the good fight of faith. May our words be full of life, hope, faith, and be lovers of truth. Job 22:28 encourages us, “You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.”

We Have Not Seen Anything Yet

Repeatedly the last few years I hear the Holy Spirit saying “we have not seen anything yet”.  We have the opportunity to be growing all the time, even through the trials, hardships, and tribulation to a new level of understanding that nothing should surprise us. As Rick Joyner often says, “Do not waste your trials.” There is much wisdom in this. Since we are in a kingdom that can not be shaken our peace remains steadfast. This is easier said than done I know.

We must grow closer together in love, encouragement, trust, and transparency, while speaking words of faith, life, and hope over our families, friends, and co-workers. They need us badly to be lighthouses of the reality of eternity and God’s love. God’s will and his destiny in will be fulfilled if we do not shrink back nor fall away. We will go out of here with joy. This will take great faith. We have it if we believe we have it and we exercise it in all we do. See Mark 11:24 and Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV).

We Do Not Know How He Will Do It But He Will

Jesus said in Luke 18:17 “Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” What a wonderful and mysterious Abba Father we have. “His yoke is easy and his burden is light.” This helps us to persevere and overcome. One of the many beauties of his holiness is how the simplicity and love of the Gospel is available to us and transforms us in order to impact our world.

We are seeing events unfold in the news around the world that we could not imagine, but God knows. He is not wringing his hands in heaven. The best fictional writer in the world could not write a more bizarre account of what is happening right before our eyes. We need to get ready for the last days battles by drawing nearer and nearer to the God of all creation and hearing his Spirit. World events are surely beyond human remedy and cascading fast.

Thankfully, we do not have to know how God will do it but the ‘work of the Father is to believe.’ We can rest in His kingdom now and bring His peace to a hungry, hurting and lost world. The fight is worth it all. The glory and splendor of all eternity is ours to enjoy and release it to parched and thirsty souls. Rejoice and know he let’s us drink from that well that never runs dry. Go forth boldly and humbly and take your promised land.

The Lord is preparing us for the times to come where nothing should surprise us. Transition is happening faster than ever. Remember, the Lord does nothing without speaking first to his prophets. Bob Jones told me when I got back from China that he had seen China really ‘being on fire’ for God by 2015. Habakkuk 1:5 (NKJV) “Look among the nations and watch—Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you.”

MorningStar Partners volunteers Gary and Ann Wickham introduced me to their friends in Singapore, Nic and Hillary Khoo.  Nic is a business person who has been teaching on a regular basis at Hunan Bible Institute in Changsha, Hunan Province, China for the past four years.

HBI is a government owned seminary with a focus on worship and music. The principal, Rev. Chen, is a humble man who had planted over three hundred churches and now oversees one thousand two hundred and fifty churches in Hunan Province. He told me in 1985 there were about twenty thousand believers in his province and today there are almost seven hundred thousand. There are approximately one hundred students at this school and many are already pastors of churches who are seeking further Bible and music education.  Nic shared with me there are four or five pastors formerly with the underground churches attending the school.

We continue to hear reports of persecution among underground churches in other areas of China and ask your prayers for the persecuted church in many nations. Rev. Chen spoke of the underground churches several times and welcomes them to come to school and how in his area if they become registered their distrust of the government will lessen as he compared churches registering to operating a business or driving a car; “you need a license to operate.” Nic shared how he has been with the students while conducting outreaches in public and a stadium concert of praise and worship is being planned. Many new church members are gleaned from praying for the sick and sharing with friends.

Rev. Chen showed me architectural drawings of a huge new church and school facility the Chinese government will spend over twenty million dollars constructing beginning in two months. It will hold four thousand in the sanctuary, two thousand in an overflow auditorium and a park outside will hold ten thousand. Rev. Chen said he told the central government he does not need a facility that large and the reply from the central Chinese government was ‘they want to make it the showcase of Christianity in China.’

The presence of the Lord during worship was very strong in this school and there was almost no topic I was not allowed to speak on in my teaching for ten hours over a two day period. I was asked to speak on: missions, evangelism, church planting, disaster relief, and discipleship. I prayed for many students and the lead teacher, Gloria, who was my interpreter. I spoke life, faith, and encouragement into them without calling it prophecy. I asked Rev. Chen what vision he had for the Hunan Province over the next ten years and he answered that his prayer is for the government to continue to open up to the gospel and support church planting efforts.

While in Changsha I received a strong impression from the Lord which was confirmed by Bob Jones my first Sunday back home, it was: ‘If America does not wake up it will be left behind like a country town in the dust’. Bob Jones added, “We will also be economic slaves to China if we don’t wake up.” Please pray for China. Pray for America to wake up. Pray for all the places the Lord desires to send MorningStar Missions and we continue to have open heavens and great favor with the nations of the earth to help fulfill The Great Commission. Contact the Missions Dept. at ext 392 for info or help in planning a short term missions trip for your church. Visit the web site for upcoming trips. At top is “God’s Boat”.

Often our unenlightened world view can be shattered as a mere carnal misconception once the Lord opens our eyes to more of his heavenly reality. In 2 Cor. 5:17 (KJV) we read “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new”.  In seeking to know more of God’s heart for the nations through deepening relationships with remarkable apostolic leaders around the world God has always exceeded my expectations.

I just returned from some time spent in Lagos, Nigeria and The United Body of Christ International’s annual conference. Margaret Soremekun is the founder and visionary of UBCI. The presence of God was intensely strong those few days. This is a royal priesthood in the midst of intensifying persecution. Being with these people strengthened my holy fear of our Lord which is way stronger than any earthly fear of terrorists.

In northern Nigeria radical Muslims have killed many Christians. Margaret says the killing happens daily. She knows many who have been martyred and reports these beautiful people are prepared to be martyrs at home and abroad. She is asking MorningStar/CMM to help train them as missionaries to serve in other parts of the world. One of our Brazilian missionaries ventured to the north with Margaret a year ago and they encountered many supernatural signs and wonders. These are modern day Moravians awaiting training and deploying in missions for the cause of Christ to help fulfill the Great Commission. Two of their leaders are coming to Harvest Fest. I invite you to come and meet them for yourself.

Having first met Margaret Soremekun over ten years ago while walking from the auditorium at a conference at Ridgecrest NC to the cafeteria I asked the Lord who I should sit with at lunch. The spirit of the Lord said, “the woman with the purple top.”  As I walked through the line into the dining area I saw this black African woman wearing a huge purple turban on her head. Thank God he speaks so we can understand him.  We became strong friends for life. She has spoken much into my life, my family and into Missions. I received a strong impartation while there.

We began to support her ministry by sharing how we had shipped four containers to Nigeria to several ministries but one cargo container had been locked up at the Warri seaport for over two years. We asked her assistance and immediately upon her return home she was able to get released the cargo full of Bibles and books with no bribes. This woman carries an amazing presence of the Lord and great favor follows her.

Her ministry has thousands of ministers in her fellowship from many nations. She and her team have planted many churches. She has an annual conference that at times has had up to 10,000 leaders attending.

About ten years ago she called me and said she felt to have a “War Night” of prayer for CMM, prior to us joining with MorningStar. After the night of prayer she called me to share how they started at 10pm and prayed fervently until sunrise the next day. She said between 100,000 and 105,000 people stayed the whole night. We noticed a shift at CMM almost immediately. Many of her prophecies have come to pass.

Solemn Assembly Days Expansion

As you know MorningStar at HIM Ft. Mill has our monthly solemn assembly for 12 hours on the first Tuesday of each month. In May I had written many of our missionaries based in 45 nations to ask them to please pray some portion of the 24 hour period for MorningStar and our missionaries. SInce June many of them and particularly Margaret and UBCI members are praying each month for MorningStar on that day. This ministry shares MorningStar’s hunger and emphasis on the prophetic. After the Solemn Assembly day in June Margaret emailed some specific words regarding people she and some of her leaders saw here in Ft. Mill. She has never been to HIM. I had introduced her to Rick, Robin and Steve on Pressley Rd. in 2002. One of our staff leaders remarked how the words during the June Solemn Assembly were truly astounding.

UBCI’s Compound Was Bulldozed By Terrorists In 2008

Margaret called me one day in 2008 and said all she had left was her cellphone as she fought back the tears.  Her headquarters in Lagos was totally bulldozed by radical Muslims. As I attended this year’s conference we drove through a poor industrial area and through three  guarded gates. I was now at the place where this atrocity occurred four years ago. Once there we walked on a wooden footbridge over puddles and mud to a large metal building. The lot in front was now bare where once stood many buildings and houses for ministry. Beautiful worship and praise ushered us into the presence of the Lord. These people are strong in the faith and focused on God day and night. Her guest house where I stayed is in a much nicer part of town and is truly a safe haven offering first class amenities and hospitality befitting royalty. In addition to missions training they want MorningStar’s prophetic training along with Bibles, books, medical and educational equipment.

They asked me to keep sending them Christian materials. If you have Bibles and books in good condition in English or French please send them to MorningStar. Shipping will be paid by friends who are with the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce. Also, medical and educational equipment is needed. Contact the Missions Office at 803-802-5544 ext 392 for more info or email missions@morningstarministries.org

God’s Favor Favors His Favorites

Favor follows Margaret as evidenced when she took Pastor Joshua and me to the airport.  She did not ask for special treatment but asked an officer where I might weigh my bag. This man did not know Margaret and maybe did not even know why he did what he did. He said to follow him as he led the way and before we knew it we were taken to the front of the line. She softly thanked each person for helping us and blessed them. They received her as the royal, humble leader she is without her asking for any special treatment.  We invite you to join us on a faith adventure for a life changing God encounter.

Lord, help us be humble and holy knowing your favor is a grace given to us, your children. Purify our hearts God and make us holy as you are holy. Thank you Lord for what you are doing through our friends in Nigeria and all Africa. May we always be teachable and ever growing in our hunger for more of you. Favor will follow our pure hearts.

Hello Missionaries and Friends of MorningStar Missions,

We invite you to read and subscribe to The MorningStar eJournal published monthly online to help you grow in your Christian walk. Rick Joyner, Founder of MorningStar Ministries, and I desire to strengthen our missionaries and equip them with many resources to help be fruitful disciples of Jesus Christ. You can download the e-Journal here.

This month includes an article by me about increasing persecution some of our missionaries are facing in some parts of the world. We ask you to pray for the persecuted church in many nations.

We invite you to check out our new web site that our webmaster, Nancy Daniel, has been working very hard on for many months. Each of our missionaries will have their own page(s) and their own url address to help promote and educate viewers about their ministry. We ask your patience as we are still having volunteer interns from MSU help upload data and updates to the site. Please email your feedback to missionsbase@gmail.com

Please send us your prayer requests for our intercessors to lift up your needs to our Father God. We love you and desire that you persevere in your fulfilling of God’s plan by faith.

Psalm 2:8 “Ask of Me and I will give you the nations for your inheritance.”

Article: by Jorge Parrott, MorningStar/CMM Missions Director

We see the great harvest coming as darkness is covering the earth. The glory of the Lord will shine brighter and brighter on us in the days ahead. Many leaders are saying the global body of Christ is entering its finest hour. While many people in the West are facing the most challenging times of their lives, I want to update you that many brothers and sisters in the Lord are serving with MorningStar Missions who are facing death, imprisonment, and the loss of homes and churches, some even becoming refugees.

We have missionaries who are part of MorningStar/CMM Missions who have been kidnapped, stoned, had churches burned, ministry headquarters bulldozed, spent time in jail, have been driven from their homelands, and are facing intensifying persecution.

God is preparing us for the great harvest. It is never too late for the church to wake up in the West and save America during this election year. It is the most important in our lifetime.

Many do not realize the risks we are facing in the U.S. of having our rights and very Constitution threatened during the economic war being waged to topple our economy and lead our nation toward a socialist/Islamic state. Kevin Freeman’s presentation at the recent Oak Summit held at Heritage International Ministries was another shocking “eye opener” with its amazing depth of research connecting the well thought-out plans of our enemies to destroy the U.S. economy through economic warfare. I encourage you to visit his website at www.secretweapon.org

Rick Joyner shared at The Oak Summit what the Lord had showed him years before about the four winds of the earth ruling for a season: the Military, the Religious, the Political, and last the Economic era which we are in at present. Even prior to 9/11, America’s economic foundations were under siege by radical forces intent on our destruction. Visit www.theoakinitiative.org for more thorough details and research to become an informed voter this year. The Oak is neither a Democratic or Republican organization. It does not follow the elephant or the donkey, but rather the Lamb of God.

When we discover our identity in Christ, our sense of purpose and destiny becomes clear. We learn what freedom, truth, justice, and righteousness mean in terms of a biblical worldview. Our Constitution sprang from the wisdom and truth of the Bible. The blood of our forefathers is much like the blood of martyrs, who died for a cause worthy of the ultimate price. It was so our Republic would stand for life, liberty, and justice for all. How long will we fail to stand for righteousness? Will 238 years of advances be wiped out in an effort to appease a minority who hold a radical extremist view full of political correctness, hate speech, and fear of offending a tiny percent rule? Can we not see that once the leftist/socialist/Islamists take over that our lives will change in a heartbeat?

We have many missionaries who are covert, serving in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, some of whom have been followed and watched during their weekly ministry activity. We will not reveal their identities.

  • One friend serving in Kenya knows of a friend who was helping rescue women in Somalia and was beheaded last July.
  • A dear friend serving in Israel was kidnapped near the Sea of Galilee, and while the car traveled at high speed, she jumped out of it and was not seriously injured.
  • A pastor in India was evangelizing in the Gujarat state and was threatened with death and stoned, losing his eye. His overseer told him he would not have to go back to that town. The faith-filled pastor said he must go back, even if they killed him. Upon his return, the gang of thugs reminded him of their threats and the brave pastor said even if they killed him, he had to tell them about Jesus’ love. About ninety men gave their lives to Jesus and some are now pastors.
  • In Pakistan, one on our team escaped arrest and a death sentence just six weeks ago by first having his wife and children flee the nation. He escaped two weeks later, an they are now in exile in another Asian country. Another of our Asian team helps families of pastors escape persecution in foreign countries, and we thank our donors and partners for helping free these wives and children. The women reported being raped and abused while in captivity. Their husbands face death sentences.
  • A friend in Nigeria with a real apostolic ministry had her ministry headquarters and business bulldozed by radical Muslims and called me to say all she had left was her cell phone. One of our sources we know and trust reports that Nigerian Muslims have declared jihad against Christians in that nation. News reports come in almost every Sunday of burned Christians and burned churches.
  • Only two weeks ago, a new church plant in eastern Andhra Pradesh, India was burned by anti-Christian forces.

There are many other reports of the dramatic increase in violence against Christians in
Africa, the Middle East, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Asian nations. Pray for the persecuted church.

America, it is time to wake up and see how the core foundation of our nation is being
threatened. Too many Islamists count women as being worth less than goats. Where are the women in leadership in Washington, D.C. and across America? As Rick Joyner has shared, the women may well be the ones to stop the threat of Islam to America and the implementation of Sharia law. We pray that truth and righteousness will prevail in our land. Pray that our light will shine bright and many Muslims will come to Jesus.
In Rick Joyner’s book, Fifty Days to a Soaring Vision, we read, “Paul said: “Overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us enough to die for us” (Romans 8:37 LB).

This verse reflects the depth and power of a conviction that was the foundation of the
apostle’s life. Despite distress, persecution, tribulation, famine, nakedness, peril, and sword, Paul lived above it all as more than a conqueror. We too can live as more than conquerors because Jesus conquered and spoiled Satan at Calvary (see Colossians 2:15). Living according to the power of this great truth is the power to live an overcoming life. The victory of the cross is the source of our confidence, and if we live by it we will always eventually see triumph.” (From Fifty Days for a Soaring Vision, Copyright © 2001, 2005 by Rick Joyner.

• One friend serving in Kenya knows of a friend who was helping rescue women in
Somalia and was beheaded last July.
• A dear friend serving in Israel was kidnapped near the Sea of Galilee, and while the
car traveled at high speed, she jumped out of it and was not seriously injured.
• A pastor in India was evangelizing in the Gujarat state and was threatened with death
and stoned, losing his eye. His overseer told him he would not have to go back to
that town. The faith-filled pastor said he must go back, even if they killed him. Upon
his return, the gang of thugs reminded him of their threats and the brave pastor said
even if they killed him, he had to tell them about Jesus’ love. About ninety men gave
their lives to Jesus and some are now pastors.
• In Pakistan, one on our team escaped arrest and a death sentence just six weeks ago by first having his wife and children flee the nation. He escaped two weeks later, and they are now in exile in another Asian country. Another of our Asian team helps families of pastors escape persecution in foreign countries, and we thank our donors and partners for helping free these wives and children. At the recent Advanced Prophetic Conference Cindy Jacobs prophesied to MorningStar that the Moravian ‘tent’ of fervent prayer, which lasted 100 years is coming to us. It is a unique call to prophetic intercession for our own congregations, our nation(s), and the global community of churches, pastors and missionaries that are part of MorningStar. It is for the urgency of making disciples of Christ in every nation and the fulfillment of The Great Commission.

As progress takes hold on the completion of the Missions Base (see missionsbase.cmm.world) at Moravian Falls we see the Lord giving us strategies and maps for taking the Five Fold ministries and the 7 Mountain Mandate along with the anointing of many great MorningStar prophets, teachers, and worship leaders to the nations of the earth through our network of MorningStar/CMM missionaries serving in 45 nations. Rick Joyner received this word in the late 1980’s of the time coming when prophets and teachers would worship together to release the apostolic advancement we are now seeing before us. Each can play a vital part as our MorningStar team needs ‘all hands on deck’.

We will keep you posted in the near future to the date we are planning, in conjunction with our monthly Solemn Assemblies, where our churches and missionaries around the world will be praying for 24 hours as a global chorus of prophetic and intercessory voices of MorningStar rises up to Heaven.

Here are some surprising facts to help us pray and plan our near term strategies globally. God is looking for available hearts to hear his voice and obey. From his book “Serving with Eyes Wide Open” by David Livermore:

  • 42% of the people in the world are under 15 years of age
  • 20% of the world lives on one dollar a day. Another 20% live on two dollars a
    day
  • 2 billion children in the world, half in poverty
  • 1 in 4 children have to work and not go to school
  • 8% of world owns a car
  • On average 178,000 come to Jesus daily
  • 85% of churches in the world led by men and women who have no formal
    training
  • 80% of nationals who come to the west for training do not go home
  • Leaders from every non-western region say #1 need is leadership training
  • Sociologists have consistently found that the way we anticipate a situation will strongly influence how we engage in it. Our expectations about a new role or new situation will directly influence how we experience, both positively or negatively.

We ask you to pray and seek the Lord on what role(s) he is calling you to step out in increasing faith in the days ahead to see the nations come to Jesus Christ, our lord and savior.

What does it feel like when you miss something that was right in front of you? Our human nature often misses what can seem painfully obvious later. Our Lord is the God of surprises and even on the road to Emmaus Jesus was unnoticed until He broke bread with them, then He was gone from their sight in an instant. At least at the end of their encounter with the living God, they recognized who was with them. In these crucial times ahead, we will need to increase our sensitivity and expectation of the holy presence of God showing up.

Jehovah “Sneaky,” as Larry Randolph once said, loves to surprise us. He has been with us since we first believed. We read in Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.”

I have heard there are more than four hundred prophecies in the Old Testament pointing to the coming Messiah, and yet when Jesus walked in the midst of the Sadducees and Pharisees, most did not even realize whose presence they were in. Our sensitivity to the ways of the Lord shapes our perceptions of who He is and can even open the gate to our own deception if we are not pressing in to His presence continually in His Word and His fellowship. Remember when He was in Nazareth. In Mark 6:4-6, we read, “But Jesus said unto them, a prophet is not without honor, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marveled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching” (KJV). The people in Nazareth expected little of this Jesus they grew up with. He was just a carpenter’s son in their minds. What could he do? Their perception and expectation could not “see” in this familiar face anything unusual. He would have to go where people were not limited by their frail perceptions and unbelief, that which is not based on heaven’s reality.

In preparation for the great harvest that is coming, let us examine ourselves to determine what areas in our line of sight need to be honed and sharpened so we may see accurately the opportunities and hazards which lie before us. We see in part and prophesy in part. In the days ahead, our gathering together and covering each other will become even more crucial to our survival, balance, and maturity in wisdom. We need trusted and loyal friends to lovingly reveal our own blindspots. Do not forsake the fellowship with others in the days ahead.

How do we embody the anointing of the sons of Issachar so we may discern the times and the seasons we have been in and the seasons of hyper-change we are entering? What got us through before will be insufficient for our survival in the days ahead. Thankfully, we know the Captain of the host of the army of God, Jesus, who sent the Helper, the Holy Spirit, and assures those who overcome the world by faith, will enter into His eternal joy, rest, and reign with Him. If we are training to reign with Him, we better know the voice of our Shepherd. The gates of deception are open doors for our frail intellect. Our chain of command and final outcome of victory are known certainties. Bold faith and confidence are our shields against snares, curses, accusations, and darts from the enemy of our soul. Declare your faith boldly and prophesy to yourself and your family to encourage each other and build each other up in the most holy faith.

It is our perception of what is seen and what is unseen by faith which shapes our attitude and confident expectations of what is coming that invites the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Our prophetic vision and Holy Spirit encounters while trusting and obeying our Lord will determine our effectiveness and lasting fruit in the strategic battles ahead. We must boldly overcome all evidence of any religious spirit and fear of man that may linger in us.

The Parable of the Talents

In Matthew 25:14, we read about the servants who received varying talents from their master. The first two invested their talents by faith and brought increase to their masters, were made rulers over cities, and were commended for their faithfulness. The one who perceived his master as a hard man and a taskmaster was spurned and cast into outer darkness. His level of expectation and fear led to his horrible outcome.

The Dangers of Our Perception

“Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed.
‘And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’
“But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.
‘So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.
‘Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents’” (Matthew 25:24-28).

This servant’s unfounded perception of his master as a mean and hard man was fulfilled by his negative level of doomed expectations. His lack of faith and fearful views, which were unrealistic, cost him his eternal rest and reward. Where did this wicked servant get such an idea? Where have we gotten our ideas about God? In the Book of Revelation, we read about those that will be cast into outer darkness and the first in that list are the cowards. The fear of the Lord is the only wise fear that leads to life. Our God is a holy God and He will not allow sin to be near Him. As we read in Romans 14:23 “…for whatever is not from faith is sin.”

Remember, the Veil Has Been Torn

We must guard our hearts, our senses, and our tongues. Let us examine our thoughts in the dark. We may come from families where our attitudes or perspectives were shaped from a different era or circumstances that are not present now. Either way we can pray for our family lineage with mercy and grace and say, like Jesus, “Father, forgive them they know not what they do” (see Luke 23:34). Only Jesus is perfect. Man (and woman) will always let us down. Rick Joyner has written some great books in his Overcoming Series on how to recognize and get free from the religious spirit, the control spirit, racism, poverty, the spirit of fear, and more. Every follower of Jesus needs to read these gems of wisdom.

Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Indeed the power of life and death is in our tongue. In James 3:9-10, “Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be” (KJV). My Dad used to say to his six children, “if you can’t say something good, don’t say anything.” I wish he had taken the time to explain why that is good advice. It took many years and trials to find out on my own. The enemy of our soul seeks to divide God’s people through envy, jealousy, greed, hatred, control, and more, and we must learn how to recognize, discern, and wage battles against evil spirits sent to destroy us.

We are eternal spiritual beings living in these temporary vessels of clay. II Corinthians 14:18 assures us: “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (KJV). The work of the Father is to believe. I pray almost every day these words, “Lord help me to believe the way You desire me to believe. Help me to see others the way You see them, Lord. Lord, help me to see myself the way You see me. Amen.” These are just a few of the thoughts I have living on heaven’s side of the veil. More will be addressed in future articles.
