By Jorge Parrott (all Scriptures from The Passion Translation unless noted)

“The Lord is looking for available hearts.” Michael Correll replied to my question of “who am I?” after I told him that I had neither been to seminary or Bible school nor been ordained by anyone. Michael was the son of Sidney and Helen Correll (founders of Correll Missionary Ministries) and had just asked me to take on the leadership of CMM in 1998. I was not qualified, but I was available and I said “yes.” I had no idea what I was getting into, but my spirit leaped and my faith, fed by the Holy Spirit, compelled me to jump in. Little did I know the risks involved in laying it all down and yielding to the Lord. It would cost me everything. He is worth it all, and if I had known this sooner, I would have done it.

Psalm 91 came alive to me, as did the whole Word. Death threats, robberies, theft, armed guards 24/7, sickness, malaria, and all “temporary, light afflictions” pale in comparison to the reality of walking in our calling and making our election sure for the glory of our Father. These are all small compared to what some of my friends have gone through, like being stoned, jailed repeatedly or for extended times, beaten, or tortured.  The Lord revealed what He had for me in these words from Psalm 139:16 (AMP): “Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were appointed for me when as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].”

The great harvest unfolds in our time, with more souls being saved daily than at any time before in history. Yes, these times are intense as persecution spreads, with over a million martyrs since 2005.  The Lord has led us to seek divine strategies to partner with embedded, trusted friends in more and more covert nations, while seeing the mighty hand of the Lord save, heal, and deliver many, as the prophets, teachers, and true apostles baptized in fire are arising to seek the holy fire and possess the holy fear of the Lord. These yielded ones only preach Christ and Him crucified. They want the light of truth and righteousness we have in Jesus rather than just seek the “limelight” of building man’s kingdom. They only focus on building the Lord’s kingdom.

In my twenty years of serving in missions, the Lord continually amazes me, leaving me humbled and in utter awe of Him and more in love with Jesus every day. His light is like a magnet, drawing us to Him. While we connect “underground railways” to free the captives, the Lord is building His highway to heaven inside of us as we seek Him, finding Him present in every moment of gladness or terror; in every God “moment”; in every minute detail—good or appearing bad; in heavenly ecstasy; even in the dry seasons. Through every trial and circumstance of our lives, we choose to align our lives with His heart and learn to see what He sees, even learning from every trial. His love for us is totally perfect and eternal. “If I go up to heaven, you’re there! If I go down to the realm of the dead, you’re there too!” (Psalm 139:8.)

How blessed we are in getting to do this! With our Lord, there is no end in sight—no peak or leveling off—just going from glory to glory. Philippians 1:6 says, “I pray with great faith for you because I’m fully convinced that the One who began this glorious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you and will put his finishing touches to it until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ!”

Keyless Entry

The Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:31, “And this fulfills what is written: If anyone boasts, let him only boast in all that the Lord has done!” I have seen countless miracles in many places: divine connections; prophetic words coming to pass; miraculous healings; divine favor; provision at the last minute; and much, fresh revelation like lightening to shift my own carnal mindset to experience more fully the new creation reality and confidence we have in Christ alone. There are no eagles in the chicken coop. Cowardice and fear must be replaced with faith, courage, and boldness. We all need to remember Revelation 21:8, which states: “But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the despicable, the murderers, the perverts, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all deceivers, they will find their place in the lake of fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

Recently, the Holy Spirit showed me, in a vision, a door and told me to go in. It was a huge, ancient, wooden door with huge and ornate, rustic hinges.  I looked for a key to unlock what appeared to be a locked door. The Holy Spirit said, “Just walk in.” I obeyed and took the last step to enter the door. As I crossed the threshold, not even touching it, the door opened effortlessly. Either it didn’t take a key like I thought, or my merely stepping in by faith was the necessary key.

He then showed me there are many keys we look for or wait for when we just need to go on through by faith.  I know there are situations when the Lord does give us specific keys for a breakthrough, so I do not wish to negate those situations, as our sensitivity to His Spirit increases by means of taking risks.

Awakening to Ownership of What He Already Gave Us

There are also times when we simply need to exercise our faith, striving to enter His rest (Hebrews 3 and 4) and to please Him (Hebrews 11:6), with the authority given to us by Jesus to “take the land” and destroy the works of the enemy, knowing that He has already given it to us. (Matthew 28:18.) We have this authority as believers and doers of His word, not just hearers. I pray for sharper discernment to know the difference between when He wants us to receive a new key and when we already possess the key needed.  That discernment to know the difference is a key aspect of faith that will truly overcome in the last days.

Loving Our Global Family

We are so thankful for our global family in the Eagle Missions network. The Lord continues to lead us into deepening and meaningful relationships. Our missionary leaders are serving in seventy nations on the front lines, often isolated from other like-minded brethren and many in areas of increasing persecution.  Our wonderful staff and over two hundred volunteers are serving them as intercessors, watchmen, prophetic Sky teams, discipleship teams, and traveling “fire” teams. Along with these, our generous and faithful donors also take their place in Eagle Missions, as we see many souls coming to the Lord, new churches planted every week, and many leaders and students growing in prophetic ministry and the Word, faith, and Holy Spirit. Trusted relationships are more valuable than gold, as we pray for and love each other in authentic, genuine relationships, desiring to “see everyone complete in Christ.”

Lord, may we see Your mighty power and grace upon us, as we humble ourselves, repent, and sense Your hand and eyes upon us and the angelic army with us like Elisha’s servant saw when his eyes were opened. “Then Elisha prayed and said, “Lord, please, open his eyes that he may see.” And the Lord opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha.” (2 Kings 6:17 AMP.)

Seeing Beyond the Media and Our Perceptions

Looking ahead, we anticipate and hunger for Him, continuing never to doubt God’s mighty power to work in us and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than our greatest request, our most unbelievable dream, and our wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for His miraculous power constantly energizes us. (Ephesians 3:20.)

Please pray for CMM and our workers around the world, those on the frontlines and their families, risking their lives, and those in the West who cover and supply them with prayers and “Watchmen” tools to equip the saints and prepare the Bride. (Ephesians 4.)  Pray about helping us send resources for closed nations, such as micro-SD cards and Gospel-tech and Wi-Fi hotspots, containing the Bible, the Jesus film in many languages, anointed teachings, anointed worship, and leadership teaching.
