The Reality of the Promise
By Jorge Parrott
(All Scripture references are New King James Version)
Bobby Connor said recently as he held the palm of his hand right up to his nose, “The veil between us and the kingdom of heaven is as close as a sheet of Saran wrap.” All the pieces are coming together. The battle of the ages intensifies as daily we see the enemy of our souls fighting hard, even in horrific ways.
Our hope in Jesus Christ pulls us like a magnet upward into that high calling. We must build ourselves up in the most holy faith as if we have no choice. Although we have a choice, we need to act as if we have no choice. By faith we are exhorted to block out the choice we have to fear, because then we will fail. We have many depending on us both here on earth and in heaven. Any setbacks are just a set up for the comeback we have in Jesus.
Just the other day, the Lord showed me again a glimpse into the heavenly realm and this time that great cloud of witnesses was right above my head. Over the last twenty-five years, the Lord has given me these encounters, and each time I see this heavenly crowd of those who have gone before us standing dressed in golden light getting closer and closer.
Laying Aside Every Weight
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:1-2).
The “joy of the Lord is set before us” and this “joy of the Lord is our strength.” Reports of great exploits are coming in weekly. Trusted members of MorningStar/CM Missions along with strategic friends and trusted partners are forging ahead together as the Father’s heart for unity and maturity enforce a laser focus on the business of the works of the Father. What is the work of the Father? It is to believe this year and today. Our faith will grow stronger together.
Our Faith is Working Together in Action Right Now
Turkey and Iraq Update: Dear friends in our missionary family in Turkey near Kobani, Syria are feeding ten thousand refugees twice a day. A new kitchen to feed this volume of fleeing refugees is being built. We need help and prayers to feed this multitude and to help plant the churches needed.
Other friends are working in Kurdistan to provide a safe house for one hundred women of all ages to be restored after horrific, brutal, and savage terror done to them by ISIL terrorists.
Nigeria Update: Boko Haram terrorists are killing many Christians. Recently, over two thousand were killed in just a few days as many were burned alive in their homes and churches. Evil men on motorcycles chased those fleeing on foot and massacred them. Our missionaries there have taken in one thousand widows. They are asking our help in securing used bakery equipment and water bottling equipment to help these one thousand widows become self-sustaining by starting a bakery and bottling the water from the two ZAO wells our Partners have helped drill recently.
Other dear friends in Nigeria have helped rescue two hundred orphans facing death and are providing homes in Christian families. Also a new school is being started for fifty of these precious little ones to raise them in an atmosphere of Christian love, foundational teaching, and a Holy Spirit-led environment full of care, nurturing, and love. Much work is to be done in these battle weary regions.
Levels of Our Missions Activities
We are very thankful for our Partners who know us and generously support our work. Together we are discipling nations and bringing the transformative love, hope, and life we have been blessed with by our loving Father God. The heart of God is that we give away all He gives us. “Freely we have received and freely we shall give” (see Matthew 10:8).
The Lord has entrusted us with many treasured and strategic relationships, knitting our hearts together for such a time as this. The global MorningStar community of prophetic friends is a “city” where we are bonding together in friendship and love. Some of our goals are: to spread the love of Christ to win the lost and disciple the nations, destroy the works of the enemy, equip the saints while training for reigning, end systemic poverty, and educate and train with kingdom principles across all spheres of society. Together we are helping to build the local church on a global scale.
As you know, we are currently working in sixty nations with thousands of churches. Many of our activities are found on our website at: www.cmm.world.
To help our Partners and friends understand a little more about how we work in missions, I want to lay out a simple difference in information sharing levels. Level One is information we feel is safe to publish. Level Two is in the area of covert activities where lives are at stake if the wrong information fell into the hands of anti-Christian forces.
Level One Missions: Public information which is safe to share openly. Types of these activities are:
- Evangelism, discipleship, and equipping the Saints (Ephesians 4)
- Church and school planting
- Prophetic training
- Drilling ZAO wells, providing hygiene training and community development training
- Caring for orphans and widows
- Training pastors and leaders
- Disaster training and relief
- Humanitarian aid
- Education to prevent human slavery
- Resource distribution of Bibles, books, teaching
- Sending teams to train, impart, and impact
- Missionary training for short, middle, and long-term deployments
- Providing spiritual covering and donor relations for those we send out
Level Two Missions (covert):
Between the walls of Jerusalem and the Great Wall of China live two out of every three people alive on earth today. The 10/40 window receives one penny for every one hundred dollars given in support of global missions. Is it any wonder that much of the terrorism and martyrs killed are in this area? We are feeling a strong unction from the Lord to impact with God’s love and glory this region, taking it from darkness into light.
A year before he went to be with the Lord, Bob Jones told me that he heard the Lord say, “God is going to amplify the voice of Jorge and the Missions team at MorningStar in the Middle East and Asia.”
Many of our dear friends of MS/CM Missions are involved in covert activities in several nations that we cannot detail publicly. Some areas in this category are:
- Undercover Transportation—movement from dangerous areas to safe areas
- Freeing of Prisoners
- Helping to free sex slaves and offer hope, restoration, and job training (more people are in slavery today than at any point in history)
- Supplying Christian material and resources behind enemy lines
- Other
The Lord is doing many amazing things I cannot detail here. We can only boast in the Lord and His mercy and grace and deep love for His people here and abroad.
Sharing in the Blessings of Partnering
Those who help support our mission work receive the same blessings as those risking their lives on the frontlines. Now is the time for deeper engagement together as this darkness spreads. The Lord is with us and strengthening us.
We read in I Samuel 30:23-25 “But David said, ‘My brethren, you shall not do so with what the Lord has given us, who has preserved us and delivered into our hand the troop that came against us. For who will heed you in this matter? But as his part is who goes down to the battle, so shall his part be who stays by the supplies; they shall share alike.’ So it was, from that day forward; he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel to this day.”
The Reality of Heaven Coming to Earth
We need to go higher and deeper in our love and hunger for the Lord and to discern the times. In Matthew 11:12 we see, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”

As we see, heaven is invading earth while the highway to heaven is being built by the generational mandate we read of in Hebrews 11:37-40. We have this great cloud of witnesses, some of whom are those spoken of in Hebrews chapter 11. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, and we are called into action now. It is our time for God’s glory to shine through us into the all the earth. We have the opportunity as the MorningStar global community to make an important and strategic impact in the fulfillment of The Great Commission.
