All Scriptures from Amplified Bible Version

“For I made the decision to know nothing [that is, to forego philosophical or theological discussions regarding inconsequential things and opinions while] among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified [and the meaning of His redemptive, substitutionary death and His resurrection]. 1 Cor. 2:2

Bobby Connor concluded one of his messages at the MFM Pastors and Leaders Conference with this statement, “the Holy Spirit says the most profound thing you can do is to maintain the simplicity of the Gospel.”  Bobby is one of the highest level prophetic voices anywhere today and also one of the funniest too. This mixture of depth, knowledge of the Bible, wisdom and joy makes the message of the Father’s heart come alive and sink deeper bringing more revelatory understanding than the ‘overly intellectual’ or as we say in the South ‘over edumacated’ serious approach.

Since my early days serving in Missions the leaders who have influenced me the most are the ones who cling to this which is this pillar-simplicity. The love of the Father, the power of the Holy Spirit and the word of God together are more than enough to change our world and the whole planet. As the Holy Spirit  gives us divine strategies we discover increasingly ‘his ways our not our ways’ and ‘his thoughts are not our thoughts.’

A prophetic word or revelation can open any door previously locked.  Often it is with surprising ease when the Lord speaks and leads and we obey. Surrendering our plans, our carnal logic and intellect to his ways and obeying his Spirit leads to every breakthrough. All glory to Him who sits on the throne.

Working in Missions in different cultures and languages we have learned to speak in clear and concise words to bring clarity, hope and encouragement, not confusion nor elitism to those the Lord entrusts to our care. Jesus says in Matt. 11:30 “For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.”

Whatever our circumstances may be we are on this mission from the Lord to take Jesus to the ends of the earth. How blessed we are that we get to join the Lord in seeing his heart fulfilled as souls are won, discipling the saints and nations, and the works of the enemy destroyed. It often comes with a price and at times, great warfare. We have a great joy set before us and available to us right now as persevere through ‘these temporary light afflictions.’ What joy we can behold as we ‘strive to enter into his rest.’ Heb. 4:11

The reports, prayer requests, and testimonies that come in almost every day challenge myself and our staff and inspire us of these heroes of the faith serving on the front lines, risking their lives to win more souls and see many walking in the fullness of joy. Paul said toward the end of his life that he was ‘the least of the saints’.  Only our Lord Jesus Christ is perfect.  I know some very mature and very fruitful apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists and prophets. I have not met a perfect one yet.  Apostolic humility shows us the necessity to remain teachable and hungry for the Lord’s presence in our daily lives. Bob Jones often asked ‘have we learned how to love?’

To See Everyone Complete In Christ

We are all in process of preparation and restoration and the Lord has us building together this ‘highway’ to heaven together to grow into maturity and wisdom and completion of each one’s purpose for living. We are called to strengthen many in their spiritual walk, speaking into the dry places in their lives to see them complete in Christ.  Eph. 4:11 speaks of the five fold ministry equipping of the Body, and in Eph. 4:13 we see the desired end result,  “until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity] This is our goal in Missions as we advance the Kingdom to fulfill our call and part in the Great Commission.

Paul wrote in Col. 1:28 “We proclaim Him, warning and instructing everyone in all wisdom [that is, with comprehensive insight into the word and purposes of God], so that we may present every person complete in Christ [mature, fully trained, and perfect in Him—the Anointed].”

I pray more and more of you can join us on these life changing faith adventures to encounter the living God.  The Lord is amazing how he blesses us with many moments of laughter and joy and yes even tears at times when his presence is so strong in our meetings.  That is one of the reasons we see everyone changed forever on these short term trips. Now, we must prepare more for longer deployments overseas. The Lord has also shown me this is one of the ways he will bring revival to the Americas.

One moment in his presence is worth more than all our trials, pain and challenges. It’s time we get over ourselves and into the Lord’s extravagant realm of glory and eternity where our measure of faith leads us into the full fruition and revelation of just how much he loves each of us and our families.

Our self focus can prevent the Lord from accomplishing his will for our lives. Our personal ‘problems’ we face pale compared to what we hear many facing globally on a daily basis.  However, persecution is spreading and the sons and daughters and the fathers and mothers are being called to rise up at this strategic time to stand for righteousness, truth and each has an opportunity to live out God’s dream for us to be full of faith and courage and obedience.

Carriers Of His Peace To The Nations

As we train to reign with Jesus we must choose wisely where we focus our attention.  I am learning to say no more often than yes. We all desire to say yes only to the things the Holy Spirit leads us in. We all love to spend time in his presence, waiting and listening. Anxiety should have no place and we don’t have time to worry. We must act in faith even when we don’t feel like it. God gives us his peace for a reason.  We stand in a kingdom that can not be shaken.  Many are getting fresh revelation of what the ‘the joy of the Lord is our strength’ really means in this era of expanding terrorism and persecution which is just a taste of times coming. This is a time of preparation with urgency as the Bride is being prepared.

We are connecting many in dangerous places. The number of dangerous places globally is multiplying rapidly. We each have a vital role to play in the great harvest now upon us. We need praying warriors and intercessors, prophets and teachers, along with those investors in ‘global futures’.  Whether you are called to stay behind with the baggage or join us on the frontlines, God’s peace overcomes the enemy.  Rom. 16:20 assures us “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.”

Together we will not lose because we can’t lose. We only lose if we stop advancing and our hearts grow cold. Comfort zones, the fear of man, material distractions and self centeredness all gang up on us to make us our own worst enemies if we are not living the laid down, sold out life in Christ.  May the holy fire of God increase in each of our lives as we advance the Kingdom, doing our part, entering his courts with praise on our lips and thanks giving in our hearts.

“And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts,” says Colossians 3:15 We are his peace ‘speakers’ and peace ‘deliverers’ as we go forth into the nations.

Our teams reaching out with prophetic insight, releasing the heart of the Father and taking everyone we can into his presence forges strong life long relationships going deeper and higher together.  The Apostle Paul so loved those he was called to as he took the love and light of Jesus to the Gentiles.  In 1 Thes. 5-12 we see encapsulated our heart in Missions:

“For as you well know, we never came with words of flattery nor with a pretext for greed—God is our witness— nor did we seek glory and honor from people, neither from you nor from anyone else, though as apostles of Christ we had the power to assert our authority. But we behaved gently when we were among you, like a devoted mother tenderly caring for her own children. Having such a deep affection for you, we were delighted to share with you not only God’s good news but also our own lives, because you had become so very dear to us.

For you remember, believers, our labor and hardship. We worked night and day [practicing our trade] in order not to be a [financial] burden to any of you while we proclaimed the gospel of God to you. You are witnesses, and so is God, how unworldly and just and blameless was our behavior toward you who believe [in our Lord Jesus Christ]. For you know how we were exhorting and encouraging and imploring each one of you just as a father does [in dealing with] his own children, [guiding you] to live lives [of honor, moral courage, and personal integrity] worthy of the God who [saves you and] calls you into His own kingdom and glory.
