Happy February Warriors,

We declare over you this season will be one of the remarkable breakthroughs as Jesus, the Breaker, within you, rises as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah!

Rev. 22:2 “… the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”

As you bring heaven to the earth amidst the darkness and spiritual warfare, the Lord empowers you to stand strong, be fruitful in every season, and keep on keepin’ on to release His truth, love, and joy to all those around you.

We invite you to a prophetic message from David Bates, our associate missions director, tomorrow the 4th of February at 7pm EST followed by the ordination of two new ministers. See the ID number below.   We are starting up again weekly CMM Oasis meetings online, featuring CMM Ordained ministers.  We post these on the Telegram CMM Ordained group.   Click here to join:  https://t.me/+7UmuSDHO9-lkNDYx

CMM College of Theology Update:

We are so blessed with all the Lord is doing in CMM COT and the global schools. Dr. Praphan Nawrat shared recently architectural drawings of the new 4-acre campus in Chiangmai, Thailand. Dr. David Joy shared of Pastor Yvonne’s family donating a large sum from the sale of some land to reduce the debt on the new CMM Campus in Burma, Myanmar.  We thank the Lord for growing and expanding in meeting passionate students’ hunger with visions of the great harvest in these lands.

We thank the Lord for His hand-picked faculty in the US Flagship COT. Drs. Karen Williams, Cindy and Paul Johnson, Sherry Reese, and Charlotte Jordaan are all doing an outstanding job, taking students into the higher realms of glory in the Word and Holy Spirit. See the faculty page at: https://cmmtheology.org/about-us/faculty-and-staff/

Laws and Covenants in the Kingdom of God

I have been meditating on God’s promises, laws, and covenants. Please reply with your thoughts and impressions from the Holy Spirit.

Understanding Laws and Covenants

  • The kingdom of God operates under laws and covenants.
  • Key questions:
    • What is a law?
    • What is a covenant?

Scriptural Reference:

“But He said, ‘You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.’” (Exodus 33:20-21 NKJV)

Understanding God’s Laws

  • A law defines how God operates.
  • Despite the belief that God can do anything, His Word specifies certain things He cannot do:
    • He cannot be tempted by evil or tempt anyone (James 1:13).
    • He cannot lie (Titus 1:2).
    • He binds Himself by covenant and cannot break His word.
  • God’s eternal perspective ensures that His promises are fulfilled beyond our limited earthly vision.

Scriptural Insight:

“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17-18 NKJV)

Examples of God’s Laws

1. God Shows No Favoritism

  • Law: “God is no respecter of persons.”
  • Scriptural Reference:

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.” (Acts 10:34 KJV)

  • Implication:
    • God is just to all, from conception onward.
    • For born-again believers, He imparts the same status, authority, and ability as Christ.
    • Every believer receives His presence equally, regardless of age, gender, or background.

2. Faith Determines Outcomes

  • Law: “Be it unto you according to your faith.”
  • Scriptural Reference:

“Then He touched their eyes, saying, ‘According to your faith let it be to you.’” (Matthew 9:29 NKJV)

  • Implication:
    • Faith determines what one receives from God.
    • Faith grows through learning and experience, much like parental guidance teaches life skills.
    • Every individual is accountable for building and exercising their faith.

3. Love is Unfailing

  • Law: “Love never fails.”
  • Scriptural Reference:

“Love never fails.” (1 Corinthians 13:8)

  • Implication:
    • God’s plan is rooted in love, forming an eternal family.
    • Love empowers faith, which in turn overcomes worldly challenges (Galatians 5:6, 1 John 5:4).
    • The integration of love with wisdom can lead to solutions for any problem.

Understanding Covenants

  • Definition: A covenant is a binding agreement, enforceable even unto death.
  • Jesus established a covenant with the apostles at the Last Supper.
  • The breaking of covenants results in societal decline:
    • Divorce and broken marriages.
    • Breach of contracts leading to lawsuits.
    • Criminal activities disrupting communities.
  • Example:
    • Safe driving is an unspoken covenant among drivers.
    • Reckless driving, such as running red lights, signifies a breach of that covenant.
  • Call to Action:
    • The body of Christ must uphold and honor covenants.

The Covenant of Salvation

  • Scriptural Reference:

“Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:8-13 NKJV)

  • Key Aspects of This Covenant:
    • Justification by faith leads to peace with God.
    • Trials produce perseverance, character, and hope (Romans 5:1-5).
    • Christ’s sacrifice reconciles humanity with God (Romans 5:6-11).
  • Our Obligation in the Covenant:
    • Acknowledge Jesus as Lord and obey Him.
    • Enter into a covenant relationship with other believers.
    • Love, esteem, and support fellow believers.

Living the Covenant Life

  • Scriptural Reference:

“For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” (2 Corinthians 5:14-15 NKJV)

  • Transformation Through Covenant:
    • The unsaved nature is rebellious and self-serving.
    • Salvation creates a new nature—one committed to God and fellow believers.
    • The covenant life is about serving God and others, rather than self-interest.

Conclusion

  • Commitment to the Covenant Life:
    • Uphold God’s laws.
    • Honor covenants in all aspects of life.
    • Live as stewards, not owners, of what God entrusts.
    • Love unconditionally, as a true member of God’s family.

Final Exhortation:

“We must be about our Father’s business…”
