In the remote villages of West Bengal, India — especially around the brick kiln factories — many children are trapped in modern-day slavery. Instead of going to school, they are forced to work in dangerous, life-threatening conditions. They carry bricks, suffer abuse, and live without hope. Most heartbreaking of all — many of these children are kidnapped or trafficked from poor families.
West Bengal has become a hotspot for human trafficking in India. According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB):
- Over 3,500 children were reported missing in West Bengal in 2021 alone.
- Many children are abducted from rural areas to work as slaves in brick kilns, factories, or even for sexual exploitation.
- Christian families are especially vulnerable due to discrimination and poverty.

Meet the Heroes: Arpan Naskar’s Family
