Christian Missions in Puerto Rico: Apostolic Breakthrough and Revival in God’s Perfect Timing
By Diana Carter
A Powerful Season for Christian Missions in Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico has been deeply blessed by the recent visit of our dear friend, Apostle Jorge Parrott—whom we lovingly call Jorge. His time here was more than a ministry trip. It felt like a divine appointment in God’s perfect timing.
For quite some time, I had sensed that this was the season for Jorge to come to Puerto Rico. I believed the Lord would use him to help prepare the atmosphere spiritually, bringing breakthrough and helping make way for what God desires to release across this island.
As we continue the work of Christian missions in Puerto Rico, we are seeing how important timing, prayer, and spiritual preparation truly are.
Diana and Jorge first met nearly twenty years ago. Diana and her husband, Keith Carter, are long-term missionaries with CMM, ordained CMM ministers, and graduates of CMM College of Theology. Their ongoing ministry reflects the heart of Christian outreach and discipleship in Puerto Rico.

Revival and Christian Outreach in Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico has carried a sense of promise for many years. Many prophetic words have been spoken over this island concerning revival, especially on the western side of Puerto Rico.
We had been praying about both Jorge and Osmani coming to minister here. Although it did not work out for Osmani to come at this time, when Jorge arrived, I felt the Lord clearly showed me that Jorge needed to come first.
It seemed as though he was laying spiritual groundwork and opening doors through the authority God has placed upon his life. As an apostolic leader, Jorge carries a unique grace to help prepare the way for others to come through afterward. His ministry helps create room for what God desires to do next.
This is one of the beautiful aspects of Christian missions in Puerto Rico right now. God is connecting people, ministries, churches, and leaders together for a greater purpose than any one individual ministry effort.
A Ministry Marked by Gentleness and the Presence of God

Jorge carries a tender and beautiful anointing. There is a gentleness, peace, and love about him that immediately impacts the atmosphere around him.
There is no heaviness when you are with him. Instead, burdens seem lighter because of God’s presence flowing through his life. There is a quiet assurance that says, “God is in control.”
I believe this comes from his deep relationship with the Lord, years of spiritual growth, and the maturity that comes through faithfully walking with Christ over time.
Keith and I had not seen Jorge in almost five years. We have now been living in Puerto Rico for more than four years, and the last time we saw him was around 2021. Seeing him again in 2026, I could clearly recognize tremendous spiritual growth and a deeper maturity, especially the maturity of a spiritual father.
During the final service in Mayagüez, several of us gathered to pray for him. Another pastor and I both independently sensed the same thing. There was a strong anointing upon Jorge as a father to the nations.
God has placed within him a fatherly tenderness, marked by patience, kindness, understanding, and stability. Those qualities are deeply needed in ministry today, especially in Christian missions in Puerto Rico, as relationships and churches continue to grow stronger.
Worship, Revival, and the Presence of God
Jorge brought renewed hope to many of us during his visit. His ministry reignited fresh passion and spiritual hunger not only in our own lives but also in the lives of many people he encountered throughout Puerto Rico.
Everything about this trip seemed to confirm God’s timing.
Part of me wondered why we had not brought him sooner, but the Lord reminded me that this was the appointed season. This was the time ordained by God for him to come.
Despite an incredibly full schedule—including graduations, ministry responsibilities, and celebrating his and Anna Marie’s forty-eighth anniversary—Jorge still made room to come minister in Puerto Rico. We believe this visit was only the beginning of what God intends to do.
Greater things are ahead for Puerto Rico and Christian missions in Puerto Rico. Greater things are ahead for CMM, for the churches connected here, and for the many people whose lives are being touched by the presence of God.
Christian Missions in Puerto Rico Are Building Lasting Relationships
One of the most meaningful parts of the visit was not simply what happened during church services. Keith and I hosted Jorge for five days in our mountain home. We spent every day together—traveling, eating meals, talking, praying, and simply sharing life.

What we witnessed was completely consistent both publicly and privately.
The same gentleness, humility, peace, and love that people experienced during ministry services flowed through everyday interactions as well. It was a beautiful reminder that authentic ministry begins with genuine relationship with Jesus.
Watching this made me pray, “Lord, help me become more like Jesus.” That desire for deeper Christlike character is something we believe should remain central to all Christian missions in Puerto Rico and around the world.
An Angelic Encounter During the Final Service in Mayagüez
One particularly powerful moment happened during Jorge’s final service in Mayagüez.
Before Jorge began ministering, during a time of worship, my daughter told me that her son Levi—my eight-year-old grandson—had seen an angel. He described seeing great wings and fire.
Later during the same service, he again saw the same angel in another part of the sanctuary.
It felt as though the Lord was strongly confirming His presence in the room and preparing the atmosphere before the Word was preached. Levi had never experienced anything like that before, and he was deeply moved and excited.
Moments like these remind us that God is still moving powerfully today.
A Growing Vision for Christian Missions in Puerto Rico
Pastor David Rusi, who oversees seven churches in Puerto Rico and four in the United States, was also part of these gatherings. His wife, Sheilyn Urban, led worship with incredible passion and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.
There is a growing sense across many churches that Puerto Rico is entering a significant spiritual season. Churches are uniting. Worship is deepening. Leaders are encouraging one another. Faith is increasing.
Christian missions in Puerto Rico are not simply about programs or events. They are about people encountering Jesus, growing in discipleship, and experiencing the transforming presence of God.
We are deeply grateful to be part of what the Lord is doing here.

Pray for Puerto Rico and Join the Mission
Please continue praying for Puerto Rico. Pray for revival, for churches, for families, and for the continued spread of the Gospel across the island.
Ask the Lord whether He may want you to join us on a future mission trip to Puerto Rico. There is something special happening here as people encounter the joy, love, and presence of God in fresh ways.
We believe the Lord is preparing even greater things ahead for Puerto Rico and for everyone connected to this growing work of ministry.
To God be all the glory. Amen.
Thank you, Jorge. God bless you.
Pastor Rusi is very talented and creative and funny. He made this video.
