Trinidad & Tobago 2026: The Journey Continues
By Evangelist Patsy L. Felton
There is something incredibly special about returning to a place where God has allowed you to sow seeds over many years. This year’s ministry trip to Trinidad & Tobago was a beautiful reminder that God’s Word never returns void. Sometimes we plant, sometimes we water, but God always brings the increase.
A Women’s Tea Filled with Testimonies
For the second consecutive year, I was honored to speak at the Ladies Tea hosted by Faith Fellowship Bible Church International in St. Helena, Trinidad. This year’s theme was “What Is a Kingdom Woman?”
Before I began teaching, I invited anyone who had attended last year’s event to share what God had done in their lives.
One woman immediately came forward with an incredible testimony.
Last year she had requested prayer after being diagnosed with kidney disease. After praying with her, I shared a few practical instructions that I believed the Lord had placed on my heart. She faithfully followed those directions, and during her most recent doctor’s appointment she received wonderful news:
She was completely free of kidney disease.
Praise the Lord for His healing power!
Several other women also shared testimonies of answered prayer and God’s faithfulness. Throughout the afternoon there was a tangible outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and many lives were deeply touched.
A Powerful Sunday Service
I was also invited to minister during the Sunday service.
Once again, the presence of the Holy Spirit filled the room in a powerful way. As we prayed together, many experienced God’s touch. One woman later shared that while I was praying for her, she felt the fire of God resting upon her.
Moments like these remind us that Jesus is still healing, restoring, encouraging, and drawing people closer to Himself.
A Special Baptism

One of the primary reasons for this trip was to baptize a precious woman who had asked me to perform the ceremony.
Several weeks before my arrival, we spent time studying what Scripture teaches about baptism. We discussed her salvation testimony, why she desired to be baptized, and what baptism represents as a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ.
Then something unexpected happened.
As we prepared for the baptism, her eight-year-old daughter looked at us and said, “I love Jesus. I want to be baptized!“
Lord willing, she’ll be next year’s candidate.
Returning to Places That Hold Precious Memories
I’ve been traveling to Trinidad since 2005, and over the years God has blessed me with lifelong friendships throughout the islands.
This trip reminded me of the Apostle Paul revisiting churches he had helped establish.
One of my favorite stops was Kernaham Trace, where years ago we regularly held Bible studies and prayer gatherings. Word quickly spread that I had returned, and one dear friend organized a fellowship in her home.
The house was full.
We shared food, fellowship, laughter, memories, and stories of God’s faithfulness. Before everyone left, my friend announced, “Make a line so Patsy can pray for everyone.“
One by one I prayed for men, women, children, entire families—and even walked down the road to pray over and dedicate a brand-new business.
God faithfully met people wherever they were.
“Do You Remember?”
Perhaps the most touching part of the trip was hearing people begin conversations with the words:
“Do you remember…?”
Many recalled prayers, prophetic words, or pieces of counsel given years—even decades—earlier.
One young man, now 32 years old, asked, “Do you remember what you did every Thursday at TTUM?“
I admitted that I didn’t.
He smiled and said, “Every Thursday night during worship practice, you would hug me and pray for me.“
Then he asked, “Can I have another hug and prayer?“
As I prayed, the Lord gave me a prophetic word that confirmed exactly what God had already been speaking to his heart.
Others shared similar testimonies:
- One man remembered asking for prayer about employment. After following the encouragement to fast and pray, God opened the door to the job he had been believing for.
- A young woman recalled being encouraged to stop waiting and set a wedding date. Today she and her husband have been happily married for more than ten years, serving the Lord together while raising two daughters to follow Christ.
- Another couple, whom I had the privilege of encouraging years earlier, celebrated their thirteenth wedding anniversary during my visit. Today both faithfully serve in church leadership.
Seeing the fruit of seeds planted years ago was deeply humbling and incredibly encouraging.
A Time of Rest and Refreshing

Not every day was ministry.
Trinidad and Tobago are one nation made up of two beautiful islands, so after the Ladies Tea, a friend and I took a short twenty-minute flight to Tobago for several days of rest.
We stayed in a guesthouse near Buccoo Reef, within walking distance of the beach, local restaurants, grocery stores, and the famous glass-bottom boat tours.
One highlight was a three-hour boat excursion around the island. It was both beautiful and refreshing.
I also enjoyed spending a day with the church family at Chaguaramas Arboretum Nature Park, where we shared fellowship and simply enjoyed God’s beautiful creation.
Looking Back with Gratitude
Looking back over these four weeks, my heart is full.
The trip included ministry, prayer, prophetic encouragement, baptisms, home visits, and reunions with dear friends across Arima, St. Helena, Kernaham Trace, Campoo, Cunupia, Toco, Chin Chin, Chaguanas, Penal, and Los Lomas.
More importantly, I had the privilege of seeing the fruit of many years of ministry.
People remembered.
People grew.
People remained faithful.
People continued serving the Lord.
As I prepared to leave, several people asked if I could stay longer—or return again soon.
The hunger for God is real.
Once again, I received an invitation to return next year. As always, my response remains the same:
“If the Lord says so.”
May He continue to open doors, change lives, and receive all the glory.
