The Sound of Many Waters: Discerning the Eternal Currents in a Shaking World

— John 7:38 (NKJV)Beloved ministers, apostolic builders, prophetic watchmen, precious friends, and frontline laborers across the nations:

Anna Marie and I send our love, prayers, and deep affection to you this October. As the global calendar accelerates into the final stretch of 2026, we sense an extraordinary, holy convergence occurring across the Body of Christ.

Last month, we shared how the Lord opened the heavens in Rumford, Maine, pouring out “Wave After Wave” under an open tent with hunger, tears, and authentic repentant fire. But as the waves increase, so does the intensity of our spiritual atmosphere.

Today, I want to ask you three piercing questions that the Holy Spirit has been burning into my spirit as I look across the global fields:

  1. Are you navigating this present hour by human calculations, or are you truly hearing what the Spirit is saying to the churches?
  2. When the cultural, economic, and geopolitical foundations around the nations are shaking, is your soul anchored in the unshakeable peace of His throne, or are you quietly leaking spiritual oil through anxiety and overstimulation?
  3. Have you positioned yourself merely to survive the transition, or are you prepared to step into the greatest, swiftest harvest season human history has ever witnessed?

We are living in biblical days. The days of casual Christianity and superficial leadership formulas are forever over. What God is building right now requires ministers with clean hands, pure hearts, sharp prophetic discernment, and unconditional surrender to King Jesus.

The Deep Substance: The Discipline of Spiritual Hearing in a Cacophony of Noise

Everywhere we look across the nations—from the suffering frontline saints enduring intense persecution in India, Afghanistan, and Nepal, to leaders across the Western world facing unprecedented exhaustion—the enemy’s primary weapon is not just outward hostility. His subtlest weapon is spiritual distraction, mental overwhelm, and ambient noise.

If the adversary cannot make you fall, he will attempt to make you distracted, fatigued, and overstimulated. When your ears are filled with the clamor of the world’s panic, digital algorithms, and endless human commentary, your capacity to discern the still, small voice of the Lord becomes dull.

In Silence the Noise: How to Stop Overthinking and Find Peace in an Overstimulated World, I wrote about the urgent spiritual discipline of coming before God’s throne in silent trust. True prophetic clarity is never born out of mental straining; it is birthed out of holy rest. Rest is not spiritual apathy or inactivity; rest is faith in action! When you rest in Him, you yield the steering wheel of your life and ministry back into the hands of the Holy Spirit.

Scripture gives us a profound apostolic pattern in 1 Kings 19:11–13. Elijah stood on the mountain. The strong wind tore the rocks into pieces, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire: a still, small voice—a gentle whisper.

When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle.

Ministers of the Gospel, anointing leaks! You cannot carry 2027 assignments with a 2024 oil level. If you attempt to pour out from a dry, depleted reservoir, you will lead out of soul-power, impatience, and fleshly intellect rather than the life of the Spirit.

To lead the flock through this present darkness, you must possess what the Apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesians:

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling…” (Ephesians 1:17–18).

When your spiritual eyes are enlightened by the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, you don’t panic when storms arise on the horizon. You see as He sees. You discern the timing, the seasons, the assignments, and the divine detours.

Field Report & Apostolic Mission: Sardinia, Italy

Speaking of divine assignments, Anna Marie and I recently returned from a deeply impactful and strategically aligned ministry trip to Sardinia, Italy—specifically ministering among precious brethren in Alghero and the surrounding coastal communities.

Sardinia is an ancient, rugged island with a storied history, known across the Mediterranean for its turquoise waters and granite hills. But in the spiritual realm, Sardinia represents a strategic geographic and apostolic gate. For decades, traditional religiosity, spiritual weariness, and historical bondages have hung like a heavy veil over many parts of the Mediterranean basin. Yet the Lord led us there with an intentional mandate: to break spiritual drought, fan into flame the sparks of revival, and bind together covenant friendships with true laborers who love Jesus above all else.

During our days with sweet friends in Alghero, the atmosphere was saturated with genuine love, prophetic tears, and unpretentious fellowship around the table of the Lord. As we broke bread in their homes and prayed over local leaders, the Holy Spirit fell with tremendous sweetness.

We saw eyes rekindled with holy vision. We prayed over brothers and sisters who had felt isolated, reminding them that they are intimately connected to an international family through Christ’s Mandate for Missions. Italy is on God’s calendar! A fresh, pure stream of the Spirit of God is welling up through house churches, underground prayer watches, and faithful families on the Mediterranean islands.

When you sow seeds of love into dry ground, God remembers every single tear. The same God who moved under our revival tent in Maine is awakening hearts across Sardinia and Southern Europe.

A Prophetic Blessing Over You

Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we lift up each ordained minister, missionary, evangelist, teacher, and pastor reading this letter. Let the mantle of Your peace rest heavily upon their households. We break every spirit of weariness, confusion, double-mindedness, and discouragement. Let fresh fire consume their altars!

Lord, let the rivers of living water that were released in Maine, and the seeds planted across Sardinia, blossom into an unstoppable global harvest. Fill their vessels to overflowing with fresh oil. Strengthen their hands to work, their knees to pray, and their hearts to love without borders. In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, Amen!

Keep your hand on the plow and your eyes fixed on King Jesus. The harvest is rising!
