Dear Friend,
We are living in days of deep uncertainty. Every day brings more hard news: economic strain, natural disasters, violence, wars, broken families, and a loneliness that many people never talk about. People are hurting in hospital rooms and break rooms, in classrooms and courtrooms, in shelters and on street corners.
But the Lord has not left them without help. He has placed His people right in the middle of the hurting. The apostle Paul wrote:
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
— 2 Corinthians 1:3–4, NKJV
You have already been doing this
Think back for a moment. Have you ever sat beside a hospital bed and simply held someone’s hand? Taken a phone call at midnight from a friend who had just lost a loved one? Stood beside a grieving family at a funeral? Prayed with a coworker after a layoff, a neighbor after a storm, or a stranger who was falling apart in a parking lot?
If so, you have already done the work of a chaplain. You brought the presence of Jesus into someone’s crisis. You may not have called it counseling or chaplaincy, but that is what it was. Almost every believer I know has done this in some form, because every follower of Christ is called to be a giver of hope and comfort for the Lord.
What many of us have never had is the training, the framework, and the recognition to do it with greater confidence, wisdom, and reach. That is why we offer the CMM Certificate in Global Christian Chaplaincy, in cooperation with the International Circle of Faith (ICOF).

A special open door for this season
Because of the uncertainty so many people are facing, we have lowered the normal tuition of $1,776 to just $950 for everyone who enrolls by December 15, 2026, ahead of our January classes.

This is not pressure. It is an open door. If the Lord has been stirring your heart toward this kind of service, now is a very good time to walk through it.
Why join? Here are the main reasons
- Your past service matters. Ministry, counseling, and life experience, along with prior counseling degrees and certificates, may be evaluated toward credit. An equivalency evaluation form is available on request.
- Practical, not theory-only. You will learn crisis communication, psychological first aid, grief and loss care, death notifications, suicide-awareness warning signs, abuse and trafficking indicators, and disaster response.
- Know what to do, and what not to do. The training is trauma-informed and ethically grounded. It covers confidentiality, consent, boundaries, documentation, and when to refer someone to licensed professionals.
- Serve almost anywhere. It prepares you for hospitals, hospice, prisons, schools, workplaces, first-responder settings, disaster zones, community outreach, and church care teams.
- It fits your life. The course is 40 instructional hours plus about 20 hours of guided homework, offered live online, as independent study, as an intensive, or through an approved local cohort. You do not have to quit your job to answer this call.
- Ten focused modules. They cover the call and identity of the chaplain, the ministry of presence, ethics, crisis care, trauma and grief, high-risk situations, specialized settings, disaster response, cross-cultural chaplaincy, and building a chaplaincy ministry.
- Two certificates, testing included. Your $950 tuition includes ICOF testing, the CMM College of Theology Certificate in Global Christian Chaplaincy, and the International Circle of Faith (ICOF) Certificate of Completion. The chaplain badge is not included and is available separately.
- Accredited. The program is accredited by AAHEA.
- A global perspective. The course is shaped by CMM’s missions work in 70 nations, including crisis response, humanitarian aid, and care for the persecuted, the displaced, and survivors of trafficking.
- Scripture at the center. The course is rooted in Isaiah 61, Luke 4, Matthew 25, and Romans 12, and taught from a Spirit-filled perspective. You will carry the hope of Christ with humility, never with manipulation.
- A pathway forward. Graduates may build church or community care teams, serve in volunteer or ministry chaplain roles, or continue into advanced theological and counseling study. Ordination through CMM is also available to graduates for $150, renewed annually.
- Taught by people who have served. The faculty brings real chaplaincy and crisis-response experience, including law-enforcement, correctional, industrial, and disaster chaplaincy.
Who is this for?
Honestly, it is for nearly everyone who loves people and loves the Lord. That includes pastors and ministry leaders, missionaries, first responders, veterans, nurses and healthcare workers, teachers, counselors, business and marketplace leaders, prayer ministers, volunteers, retirees with a heart to serve, and mature believers who sense God calling them beyond the four walls of the church.
If you have ever wondered, “Lord, how can I be more useful to You when people are hurting?” this may be part of His answer.
The world needs prepared hope-givers
The world does not need more titles without training. It needs servants who can listen before speaking, stay calm in the storm, honor people from every background, and bring the peace of Christ into the hardest places.
Jesus read these words in the synagogue at Nazareth:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted…”
— Luke 4:18, NKJV
That same Spirit now rests on His people. You are already a comfort-giver. Let us help you become a trained one.

Let me pray for you as you consider this:
Father, thank You for every person reading this who has already carried Your comfort into someone’s darkest hour. Strengthen them, equip them, and send them out with wisdom, courage, and compassion. Let Your presence go with them into every crisis. In Jesus’ name, amen.

P.S. If you know someone who is always the first to show up when others are hurting, please forward this email to them. They may be a chaplain who has never been trained.
The CMM Chaplaincy Certificate is a faith-based ministry-training credential. It is not a government license, a clinical license, or a law-enforcement commission, and it does not guarantee employment or institutional access. Chaplain badges and ID cards are ministry identification only.
Trained to serve. Prepared to respond. Sent with compassion and integrity.
