CMM Ordained Ministers Monthly Letter — November 2026

Do You Know How the Father Sees You?

Grace and peace to you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.”
— Luke 15:20 (NKJV)

“The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
— Zephaniah 3:17 (NKJV)

Dear friends, brothers and sisters, and fellow laborers in the harvest:

Let me ask you something I’ve been asking myself lately:

When was the last time you let the Father run to you?

Not to your ministry. Not to your next sermon, your next crisis, or your next assignment. To you.

I’ll be honest with you. Like many of you, I’ve spent years running toward people for Him: hospital rooms, gravesides, pulpits, airports, kitchen tables. We carry other people’s burdens into the night, and we count it a privilege. But somewhere along the way it’s easy to start relating to God as a Master to be served instead of a Father who simply enjoys His kids.

Anna Marie and I send you our love this November. As we head into Thanksgiving, I can’t think of anything more important for us as ministers than to receive the Father’s heart all over again.

The Father Who Runs

In Luke 15, the father didn’t wait at the gate with folded arms and a list of conditions. He saw his son “a great way off.” That means he’d been watching that road every single day.

And when he saw him, he ran.

In that culture, a dignified elder didn’t run. He’d have to gather up his robes and lose his dignity in front of the whole village. He ran anyway, because love was bigger than his reputation.

Friend, that’s our Father. He isn’t putting up with you. He isn’t disappointed in you. He isn’t keeping score of your tired seasons. Scripture says He rejoices over you with gladness and quiets you with His love.

Some of us are exuberant and full of prophetic promises as covenant children of Abba, some are tired right now. Some are discouraged. Some have been carrying grief quietly while ministering to everyone else. I’ve been there too. So let me remind you, the way I need reminding: we didn’t receive a spirit of fear. We received the Spirit of adoption.

“For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’”
— Romans 8:15 (NKJV)

Sons and Daughters Before Servants

Here’s something the Lord keeps teaching me: we minister from sonship, not for sonship.

When our identity rests on performance, ministry turns into a treadmill. Every win puffs us up, and every setback flattens us. But when we’re anchored in the Father’s love, we can serve with joy, rest without guilt, and stand without fear when the world shakes.

The older brother in Luke 15 never left home, yet he never really enjoyed home. He worked the field for years and still said, “You never gave me.” His father answered, “Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours” (Luke 15:31, NKJV).

Let’s not labor in the Father’s field and miss the Father’s heart. I’m preaching to myself here as much as to anyone.

A Prophetic Call: Fathers for a Fatherless Generation

The Lord closed the Old Testament with a promise that still speaks to this hour:

“And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
— Malachi 4:6 (NKJV)

We’re watching a generation grow up wounded, anxious, and spiritually orphaned. They don’t need more noise. They need men and women who carry the heart of God.

Paul wrote, “For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers” (1 Corinthians 4:15, NKJV).

I believe that’s part of the call on our CMM family right now. We’re not only preachers and teachers. Together, we can be spiritual fathers and mothers to the ones coming behind us: welcoming the prodigal, gently correcting the older brother, opening the gate, and running.

Every great move of God in Scripture was carried by people who knew they were loved. The Father is turning hearts. Let’s let Him start with ours.

Wisdom for This Season

In uncertain days, the Father hasn’t left us without counsel:

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
— James 1:5 (NKJV)

Notice “without reproach.” He doesn’t scold us for asking. He gives freely. Whatever decision is in front of you this month, bring it to Him first. Ask, listen, and then obey. I’m doing the same.

Enter His Gates With Thanksgiving

“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.”
— Psalm 100:4 (NKJV)

Thanksgiving is the gate. Gratitude moves us out of the outer court of our problems and into the inner court of His presence. This month, before we ask for anything, let’s thank Him for everything: our calling, our families, the people He’s entrusted to us, and the simple miracle that He still chooses to work through folks like us.

And I thank God for you. Truly. Laboring alongside you is one of the great joys of my life.

Equipped to Carry His Heart Into Crisis

The Father’s heart always moves toward the hurting. That’s why we’ve launched the new CMM Chaplaincy Course: to equip ministers to carry the presence of Christ into hospitals, disaster zones, prisons, workplaces, and homes in crisis.

So many of you are already being called into those places, and the urgent need to be prepared for what is coming, with so many hurting souls everywhere, so we’ve reduced the tuition to $950 through December 15, 2026, to help more of us be ready. Prepare for impact!

Three Things I’m Asking This Month

  1. Let the Father run to you. Set aside one unhurried hour this week with no agenda except to receive His love. Read Luke 15 slowly and let Him speak.
  2. Walk alongside someone. Ask the Lord to show you one person (a young leader, a struggling believer, a prodigal) you can call, encourage, and stand with this month.
  3. Write me back. Tell me how I can pray for you and what God is doing where you are. I read your replies, and you’re not alone in this.

A Prayer for Us

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for being a Father who watches the road and runs to Your children. Pour Your love afresh into every one of my friends reading these words. Heal the weary, lift the discouraged, and quiet every anxious heart with Your love. Turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers. Make us carriers of Your heart to a fatherless generation. Give us wisdom freely, and fill our mouths with thanksgiving. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Friend, you’re loved before you’re useful. Let’s receive it, and then go give it away. The Father is running toward the nations, and He’s chosen to run through us.

Your brother and friend in Christ, with gratitude and great expectation,
