Praying for Israel

Israel Mission Report:
A Journey of Prayer, Service, and Transformation
(Oct 17–29)

By Lisa Abeyta

From October 17th through October 29th, our Israel mission team—fifty-three adults and youth from the United States and Canada—embarked on a powerful journey of prayer, compassion, and hands-on ministry across the land of Israel. What began as a trip of service quickly became a deeply transformative mission experience in Israel, touching both the people we served and the hearts of every team member.

Lisa Abeyta is a CMM Ordained Minister and a dedicated Prophetic Warrior. She regularly leads trips to Washington DC and David’s Tent with her teams. She is also the leader of Washington state Intercessors.

Purpose of the Israel Mission

The purpose of our mission to Israel was to bring the love of Yeshua through intercession, service, and encouragement during a time of great need. Our goals included:

Honoring Soldiers and Families Affected by the Conflict

We visited the Nova Festival site to worship and pray for families of fallen and active IDF soldiers currently engaged in conflict with Hamas. This was one of the most solemn moments of our Israel mission.

Blessing Holocaust Survivors

Our team hosted a heartfelt luncheon honoring Holocaust survivors, gifting each one with baskets containing scarves, kitchen towels, lotions, and more. This time of worship, stories, and fellowship became a deeply meaningful part of our Israel mission outreach.

Community Service Across Israel

To support daily life in Israel, our mission team engaged in practical acts of service, including street cleaning, assisting local farmers, and participating in community initiatives that directly benefited local residents.

Key Locations Visited During the Mission

Throughout our journey, we traveled across significant biblical and historical sites in Israel, including:

  • Mount of Olives
  • Gaza region
  • Sea of Galilee
  • Golan Heights
  • The Temple of Pan

Worship was led by Baht Rivka and BJ, while I led prayer gatherings at each stop.
Our tour guide, an IDF reservist, shared firsthand insights into the October 7th massacre, deepening the spiritual and emotional weight of our mission in Israel.

Challenges Faced on the Mission

Our Israel mission was not without obstacles. We encountered:

Spiritual Warfare

Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, in particular, carried intense spiritual heaviness, challenging our team on multiple levels.

Sudden Illness

Several members—including myself—experienced abrupt illness during the mission. Through unity, prayer, and perseverance, the team pressed forward and fulfilled every objective of the mission in Israel.

Impact of the Israel Mission

The outcomes of this mission were significant and wide-reaching:

Serving Holocaust Survivors and Farmers

Our hands-on work and relational ministry brought encouragement and practical help to those who needed it most.

Praying for Wounded IDF Soldiers

At Seba Hospital in Tel Aviv, we prayed for wounded soldiers and listened to their testimonies of miraculous survival during the October 7th attacks.
We provided gift baskets filled with T-shirts from Seattle, socks, hats, pajamas, and other items to bless and encourage them.

Spiritual Growth and Transformation

Every member of the mission team reported experiencing:

  • Deepened faith
  • Increased compassion for Israel
  • Renewed passion for prayer
  • Stronger unity and lifelong friendships

This Israel mission strengthened our understanding of God’s heart for the land and emphasized the ongoing need for intercession and support.

Looking Forward: Continuing the Mission in Israel

Candid (formerly GuideStar) Platinum Transparancy 2025
CMM has received the Candid. (formerly GuideStar) Platinum Transparency award for 2025.

I am eager to return next year—this time for three weeks—to continue serving Holocaust survivors and supporting wounded soldiers in Tel Aviv. The need remains urgent, and the mission continues.

Prayer for Israel

Yeshua, we lift the nation of Israel before You.
Protect its borders—north, south, east, and west—and let no weapon formed against it prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Let Your shalom cover Jerusalem.
Bring healing to Holocaust survivors and wounded IDF soldiers.
Comfort the grieving and strengthen the fearful (Psalm 122; Jeremiah 30:17).

Unify Your people.
Destroy every Antichrist spirit that rises against Israel (Amos 5:24).
Let justice flow like a river and righteousness like a mighty stream.

Grant wisdom and courage to Israel’s leaders.
Protect the soldiers who stand watch over the nation.

Amen—and thank you for your prayers and support for this mission to Israel.
